Just recently, PiercingMetal had the honor of being one of the accredited press at a grand event for the Harley-Davidson NYC showroom. The event was called “Black Tie Black Leather” and would unveil several awesome new bikes and a bevy of accessories. I donned my basic blacks and zipped up my leather MC jacket and headed into the mix with my good friend and occasional PiercingMetal contributor, “Skeleton Pete” Parrella. With this being more of a lifestyle event than something Metal, I felt that the coverage of the event would fit in here the best so after you enjoy the amazing new logo for the brand and its location you will be taken on a very cool ride as I present you the bikes, the merchandise and the beautiful people all around me. Let’s roll…..
These bikes were stationed around the showroom main floor and could be seen from the outside streets of the Big Apple. Those who had lined up to participate at the event were drooling at their overall beauty and power of machine. I couldn’t blame them as they were fantastic looking. I did my best to get a photograph of all of the bikes around the windows.
Here’s Aleks, one of the lovely event hostesses. I’ve met her before and she is rather awesome so it was nice to find her helping out at this special showcase event for Harley-Davidson of NYC. As you can see, Aleks is currently dolling out the badges to guests.
Joining Aleks was Katherine and she was helping to keep things moving when I snapped this shot. I didn’t slow her down at all.
A wall full of beautiful leather jackets. You know you want one. I sure did and I was wearing one when I shot this.
I didn’t get to spend too much time on this device but it was a computer design software that let you design your own custom bike.
Let’s go downstairs to the other showroom. There were going to be a whole lot of bikes to see down in this area. Best to go before the crowd. Loved the look of these stairs as well. Very interesting.
Aren’t you glad that I brought you down here with me? Look at these motorcycles! LOOK!!!!!!
I’m sorry that I don’t know the actual model of each and every bike in those photos but I am sure you can find out easy enough. Downstairs also had lots of accessories and additional clothing items that all bore the brand of Harley-Davidson of NYC.
It was pretty cold out on the night we attended the event and I had to wonder just how warm that hoodie and skull beanie would be. I probably should have bought them that night. Oh well, perhaps next time when I am in the place. Unless some reader feels generous 🙂
Stephanie and Bridget were on duty making sure the coat check and the gift bags were being handled properly. They did more as well to help the event but that was the task when I snapped this photo. Thanks girls.
Now it was time to head back upstairs and take a seat as the grand unveiling of the new motorcycles was about to begin.
Katherine and Aleks were on opposing sides and in charge of the grand reveal of each of the bikes. So exciting……
Tada! A sweet blue sparkle finish Harley was unveiled. Now it was time to have the company representative talk a little bit about the bikes.
That’s GM/Parts Manager John Maguire doing all the explaining to the press and VIP’s who were listening intently.
Alright Katherine, let’s keep this unveiling going, bring us the coolness……
One of the cool points about the new bikes was this awesome design. Its so NYC and looks like an old subway token. Isn’t it cool?
It’s looking pretty baddass in chrome as well don’t you think? Sorry to disrupt your enjoyment of the bike visuals.
Here’s Asef Jacobi, he’s the President/GM of Harley-Davidson.
Here’s another one of our hostesses for the evening and one of the Harley-Davidson of NYC staffers.
The press and VIP dignitaries all got a cool little bag with a logo shirt for the NYC location. You could have this in any color as long as it was black. Sorry that’s a Henry Ford joke.
I’m going to pause our documenting of the special event right here because I don’t want to blow your mind with so many photos. Tune in tomorrow right here for the second part that will continue to show off the awesome motorcycles and the people hanging around at the party. Thanks for reading, I hope that you enjoyed this chapter. See you tomorrow.
