Piercing Ken Thoughts: Sadly, I didn’t get to any Broadway shows this year and as I type this am realizing that the same neglect was the case for me last year as well. Sigh. Believe me I love a good Broadway performance but its often out of my budget wheelhouse unless I can snag something at the TKTS booth and honestly, I don’t really have the time to stand on an endless line. Based on the winners, I know that I want to see “The Bands Visit” and probably “SpongeBob Squarepants: The Musical” because it seems really weird. “My Fair Lady” and “Carousel” are bona fide classics and its great to find them returning and receiving awards but for me those are “date night” plays so I will have to pass being a single guy at the moment. Let me know what you thought of the winners for this years Tony’s down in the comments section below. See you next time.
