Last night, MTV aired their 2018 “Video Music Awards” live from New York City’s famous Radio City Music Hall and when I stopped to consider the amount of Housewife Diary Shore Race reality programs that the network airs each and every day, I wondered when they actually had the time to show any music videos. Of course, I should stress that I hardly pay any mind to the network in today’s world since my own musical interests are so very different from what is considered popular over there. That said, I still wanted to share the winners of the “2018 MTV Video Music Awards” since I’ve done this kind of posting for the 2018 Academy Awards and The Tony Awards so why not keep on going. Piercing Ken Thoughts: I didn’t watch much of this broadcast because I’m not the biggest Hip Hop and R&B fan but I did record it to see Aerosmith who I had heard might be playing and on the DVR playback was happy to find their part being at the beginning of the recording that my cable box did. They followed a performance by the Rapper Post Malone and then they all jammed together. Sadly, I fear the glory once found with Run DMC and the combined jam on “Walk This Way” cannot be relived. Now before I say how overall clueless I was about the performers/winners of this year’s broadcast I want to send congratulations to the two big award winners of Camila Cabello and Childish Gambino. I’ve never heard much by them if anything but again when I breezed through the show on the DVR found myself so disconnected from it. Probably a little more than I feel during The Grammy’s who pay a tiny little bit of attention to my favorite genre of music. The MTV Video Music Awards don’t even recognize Hard Rock and Metal which is funny since the network was built on the backs of those videos. Sure Imagine Dragons won for “Best Rock Video” but we have more to offer in these genres than that. Anyway, there you have it – I’ve tagged all the winners in this post since it can’t hurt for the Google Search Engine findings. See you again soon.
