When I last discussed the topic of the Walt Disney Studios upcoming motion picture “Mulan” it was to share some of the promotional posters that I had collected from assorted entertainment websites for viewer enjoyment and to spark additional interest in the film. Sure I tend to post this kind of thing on a regular basis but this time around I ended up doing it on the original day of the films release. Of course based on the Coronavirus Pandemic, the film would NOT be released and was moved to an at the time unknown release date. All of our existing “Mulan” posts can be examined by clicking HERE. Recently it was announced that the film would be presented on the Disney+ Streaming Service and as result a brand-new trailer was just released. I’ve embedded the trailer down below for you to digest along with the premise, casting and the Official “Theatrical” poster.
The Plot: When the Emperor of China issues a decree that one man per family must serve in the Imperial Army to defend the country from Northern invaders attacking China, Hua Mulan, the eldest daughter of an honored warrior, steps in to take the place of her ailing father. She is spirited, determined and quick on her feet. Masquerading as a man, Hua Jun, she is tested every step of the way and must harness her inner-strength and embrace her true potential. It is an epic journey that will transform her into not only an honored warrior, but one of China’s greatest warriors ever and earn her the respect of a grateful nation…and a proud father.

Piercing Ken Thoughts: You must forgive me in not having this trailer and news about the streaming up yesterday when it was first revealed. I was left in a state of a whole lot of uncertaintly with the news about the cancellation of the New York Comic Con based on the restrictions and issues surrounding the Coronavirus. Now about this soon to be streaming for a special price release. I am hearing that it will cost $30 to see this on the premium side of the $13 a month Disney+ and if that is the case you can count me out. I am a single guy who doesn’t have people coming in and out of his place as company (especially during a viral pandemic) so it doesn’t make financial sense for me. Those who have a few kids in their domicile and can bring the neighbor kids in as long as all practice some distancing will be able to enjoy this and have it be well worth the money. My friends with two children says an average trip to the movies runs them about $100 when all is said and done. This includes the tickets, the snacks, the drinks and the parking and any side merchandise that “they must have”. When “Mulan” hits the regular side of the streaming service I will surely watch it. Chime in down below with your thoughts and I will see you next time. As I close this I wonder if I will be speaking to this topic again and I’d have to say that I don’t mind if I do.
