The founders of High River Sauces have announced that their always highly-anticipated NYC Hot Sauce Expo will be returning for an 8th time this April at the Brooklyn Expo Center in Greenpoint. All of the festival staples of years past – such as the Booze & Infuse Cocktail Competition and annual Hot Sauce Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony – will be returning alongside the Insane Eating Challenges that take place on the Stage of DOOM (full schedule below) and the Chihuahua Beauty Contest. This year, the 2020 NYC Hot Sauce Expo will offer attendees the opportunity to sample 50 of the world’s finest purveyors of hot sauce, as well as, top-notch craft beers, spicy cocktails and a myriad of food options such as BBQ and tacos for carnivores, vegans and everyone in between.

The NYC Hot Sauce Expo is the greatest weekend of the year, hands down. We will have the hottest hot sauces, spiciest foods and the most insane eating challenges on planet earth. Come on down and get lit up.
In addition to the traditions that make this such a special event, this year’s expo will also feature a few once-in-a-lifetime experiences for Hot Sauce enthusiasts. At 4:30 PM on Sunday the 19th, Puckerbutt Pepper Company will be presenting the Guiness Book of Records Reaper Eating Challenge, in which brave participants will be competing for a grand prize of $1,000. High River Sauces will also unveil their latest endeavor – the initial beer offering from their upcoming High River Brewing Company, the Four 4 Four.

Piercing Ken Thoughts: The longer termed visitors to this website already know that we’ve been attending this show since it first began. Initially, I had featured my exploration over on the PiercingMetal.com website since we often encountered some Rock Stars that we’ve long followed. Newbies to the program might not be aware that artists like Eddie Ojeda (Twisted Sister) and Chris Caffery (Savatage and Trans-Siberian Orchestra) are regular faces at the event. I always have a great time at this one and its awesome to catch up with the friends that I only manage to see here at this show.
