Readers of my PiercingMetal website know that I post a lot of Tours and Festivals items and over the last few days that area has been rife with stuff that you might want to check out (just click the highlighted text). Of course with “The Chronicles” being a mostly different audience there are going to be some unique live music announcements to share like this recent new from the folks behind The Governors Ball. I didn’t have a proper press release as much as a festival poster so here is the lineup for said affair.
The Lineup: Tame Impala, Missy Elliott, Flume, Vampire Weekend, Stevie Nicks, Solange, Miley Cyrus, Ellie Goulding, Rufus Du Sol, H.E.R., Portugal The Man, Foals, Summer Walker, Jon Bellion, Khruangbin, Carley Rae Jepsen, Maren Morris, Of Monsters and Men, Milky Chance, Bleachers, Banks, Danny Brown, Gryffin, Steve Lacy, Madeon, Allessia Cara, Girl Talk, Swae Lee, Pink Sweats, Pinegrove, Snail Mail, Arizona, Dominic Fike, Dave, Oliver Tree, Earthgang, Alec Benjamin, Muna, Cuco, Pup, Ybn Cordae, Charly Bliss, Princess Nokia, Tones and I, Fontaines D.C., Nancy Whang, LCD Soundsystem, Sasha Sloan, Poolside, Slowthai, Black Midi, Frankie Cosmos, Jay Som, Charlotte Lawrence, Maxo Kream, Kota The Friend, Nasty Cherry, Max, Chase Atlantic, 99 Neighbors, Laundry Day, Johnny Utah, Chiild, Yeek, Ryland James, Poppy Jean Crawford, Almost Monday, Hand Made House.
Piercing Ken Thoughts: Of the “75” or so bands named, I only recognized about “8” of them and of that number I only ever listened to “3” of them. Clearly this is not my kind of festival since it focuses on the Pop and the Rap or R&B stuff which I don’t really listen to at all. Some of my friends go to this every year but I only ever wanted to participate when Guns N’ Roses were performing a few years ago. What about you readers? Have you ever gone to this event and what did you think about it? Chime in down below in the comments and I will see you next time. Oh yeah and in case you weren’t aware, the tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10AM.
