Ladies and Gentlemen of the readership of “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken”, it gives me great pleasure to announce that at long last we have an Official Channel for this website. Historically speaking, I’ve been a YouTube user since March of 2006 with a personal profile and when I joined this, the PiercingMetal website was not even a full year old. I wouldn’t create a channel for that site until 2008 and that was still two years prior to the “birth” of “The Chronicles”.
When “The Chronicles” was launched, the idea was to use it as a place to share photography and simple blogs as opposed to putting this stuff on Facebook. I felt that I could link over to the PiercingMetal.com site from here as well so double effective. At the onset, it didn’t merit a YouTube Channel since it was not aimed at being a professional “voice” but that started to change around 2015 when I began using it as the additional opinion from the scribe in charge over on that Metal site. In hindsight when I started using the site as a professional medium like its Metal brother, I should have created the channel for good measure but I didn’t so on we go in the background.
Some events I did found me recording video and with no official place to put them I uploaded those to my personal space. I know, I know. Not the best idea but one cannot always see that far ahead in this stuff. We’re here now an that’s all that matters. My plan is to begin uploading some never before posted things to the new channel and maybe even to take back some of the stuff that was uploaded to my personal account. That part I still have to think about a little bit. I hope that you will be kind and subscribe to the channel and click the notification bell. Oh and before we go here are some items to know about YouTube Channels – You need 100 subscribers to be able to properly get the URL for your Channel and 1K subscribers are required before any of your content earns you some advertising money. I have a decent grasp on the kind of stuff I will be uploading here based on the events that I cover for this site and now its onward and upward. I look forward to entertaining you.
