So I’ve actually just talked about this over on the PiercingMetal website (seen HERE) and since “The Chronicles” also has a very busy existence in the social media space I figured a post over on this side of the creative fence was in order. Now in case you haven’t heard this news yet, it seems that the folks at Meta, which is the parent company of Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram have determined that we need yet another social media application to use and have announced the launch of “Threads from Instagram”. This seems to be the Meta response to Twitter and I imagine can be used in the same fashion. The account for “The Chronicles” got created right from my current Instagram profile and uses the same exact handle. The only downside for me is that I wasn’t able to do this as Ken Pierce Media because lately I am making any new networks to be the editorial overseer presence as opposed to either side of the coin. It’s worked for things like TikTok very well so why not continue the trend. My first post to Threads is below and as I mentioned on the other post, one cannot embed these items.

I’ll repeat myself here by saying that I don’t know how much I will actually be using this but if it feels better than Twitter does, then I might do it a lot more often. Much like its failure in helping raise awareness for PiercingMetal, the exact same thing applies to Piercing Ken and the Twitterverse fails us time and time again no matter how much we use it. I like that one can post actual links to Threads since I am always interested in sending any audience or followers to the proper website posts or our YouTube Channels. Right off the bat we secured a nice number of followers but its nothing to shout from the rooftops. If you are one of the early adopters who chose to follow Piercing Ken on Threads from Instagram we thank you.
As expected, if you are interested in what we are getting up to we ask that you give us a “Follow” and engage with the content since it would be so nice to hear from you on some of the posts. These days the engagement is just as important as the number of followers and the likes. All of this is welcome as its madness in terms of keeping up with the others out there. I know Twitter folks who post thousands and thousands of times a year and while we don’t, I don’t see this brand doing that over on Threads either. I do hope to use this to better compliment the Instagram stuff and if you want my opinion about this being a threat to the Twitterverse, I don’t really think so. They’re too deeply entrenched in everyone’s minds and even with Elon Musk making dramatic and often unnecessary changes, I don’t see it going anywhere. Okay, its time to practice this one and keep you all entertained.
