One of the main reasons that I love NYC so much is that even after you have finished your original nights plan and are heading home, you can be side-tracked into a totally different and unexpected adventure that is also very interesting. Such was the case when I was finished watching the Finnish singer Anni perform at the Mercury Lounge. After I did my whole music scribe pleasantries and started walking up Houston Street on my way home I noticed a place called the White Rabbit which was both a gallery space and a bar. Tonight there was a showing of the art of one Kennedy Yanko so I stuck my head inside and decided to snap a bunch of photos of her art and share them with you here.
Here’s Miss Yanko herself….
Also a couple of her friends who were at the opening lending some support on this great show.
Check out Ms. Yanko’s site where you can learn more about her work as well as her upcoming projects. You’ll be glad that you did.
