It was great to see so many of the faces that we’ve missed over the past few events based on the pandemic because while Zoom and WhatsApp video chat is nice, it doesn’t replace that one on one connection. Greetings my friends and welcome to my visual overview of the Toy Insider’s “Holiday Of Play” event. You might recall that we last were in the company of these folks during their summertime “Sweet Suite” and since a whole bunch of things you will not see here were presented please click HERE to see that full overview.
For the past few years, The “Holiday Of Play” had been held at the Manhattan Penthouse over on 14th Street and it was a very nice event space but I think as things that the Toy Insider grew bigger and bigger that a new location was deemed necessary. This year the event had moved to a space called “Current” which is close to the space used for “Sweet Suite” at the Chelsea Piers.
Hello again my friends and welcome back to another chapter of my exploration of the 2018 Toy Insider “Holiday Of Play”. As I’ve mentioned before, this annual event is super duper exclusive so we are honored to participate. I’ll pick up where I left off and speak occasionally while letting the images do the talking. It seems like it was only yesterday when I was compiling my images and thoughts about the 2018 “Sweet Suite” which you can give a look to by clicking HERE if you are one of our newer readers who might have missed it. It was our third such adventure and now it was time to show you what we found at their annual “Holiday Of Play” which as you might have surmised was also our third such event. Before we get underway with the adventure, I wanted to let you know that I did a quick narrative over on my PiercingMetal.com website that showcased the more Geek themed stuff that I talk about and you can peruse that by clicking HERE. It’s nice to parse out the content like I do with the annual Toy Fair for sure. Once again I would head to the Manhattan Penthouse which is a lovely space for a quasi-intimate affair. I like that I get to take a few snapshots of the city as well from this location because I do so love our Metropolis. Let’s go have some fun.
Hello again my friends and “Welcome Back” to another exciting installment from the 2018 “Sweet Suite” that was held very recently over at the Pier 60 event space. As previously mentioned in Part 1 (seen HERE), this incredible event is organized by the folks at The Toy Insider and since there is a lot to see let’s get right on down to business with this mega-sized Iron Man playset from Hasbro. Isn’t it awesome? I think so.
As you might realize this is for the younger superhero fan in your family and something that will help them bring these movies and comic books into their playtime.
