The Toy Association Postpones Toy Fair Dallas Until 2022

In response to challenges posed by the Delta variant of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Toy Association has announced the official postponement of Toy Fair Dallas, which was planned to take place October 5 to 7. It is anticipated new dates in 2022 will be secured at the Dallas Market Center.

“While our exhibitors and hundreds of retail buyers were looking forward to coming back together in person this fall, the health and safety of the greater toy community remains The Toy Association’s number one priority,” said Steve Pasierb, president & CEO of The Toy Association. “In the interim, we remain committed to the ‘possible’ and continue to focus our efforts on providing retail buyers and toymakers with effective ways to connect and do business.”

Specialty Food Association Cancels 2021 Summer Fancy Food Show

Over the last couple of weeks the Media Command HQ has sadly announced the postponement of both the NY Luxury Design Fair and the New York International Auto Show and just a short time ago the Specialty Food Association announced the cancellation of the in-person “Summer Fancy Food Show”. The Press Release:
The Specialty Food Association’s Fancy Food Show 2021, the in-person component of the planned dual Fancy Food Show 2021 and Fancy Food 24/7, has been canceled. Fancy Food 24/7, the digital component of the show, will run as planned from September 27 through October 8.

With the increasing concerns about the Delta variant, it was decided that the in-person component of the show should be canceled for the health and safety of all show participants.

The Toy Association Cancels Interim Toy Fair and Looks To 2022 Trade Show

As COVID-19 remains insufficiently resolved, The Toy Association has announced that it will not conduct an interim trade show in New York for 2021, which was previously planned to take place May 1 to 4. Plans for Toy Fair Dallas remain on course for October 2021 and providing an ongoing mix of physical and digital business opportunities for the industry will be the Association’s focus this year.

“Our foremost consideration is the health and well-being of the global toy and play community and setting a clear path forward,” said Steve Pasierb, president & CEO of The Toy Association. “We want to provide our exhibitors, retail buyers, and the larger toy and play community with certainty on important destination shows and the ability to take advantage of immediate opportunities through our year-round buying and selling platform.”

Breaking: Toy Fair Dallas and Toy Fair New York 2021 Are Postponed

Though we attend the annual Toy Fair for both sides of the creative fence, I’ve shared the sad news about the cancellation of Toy Fair 2021 over on the PiercingMetal.com website. So far, 2020 has been almost a full year of disappointment and as you can see the cancellations are starting to flow into next year’s happenings as well. This is due to the ongoing progression of the COVID-19 pandemic in the U.S., including the latest government data, measures, and guidelines on the phased reopening plans in the U.S.; the number of confirmed cases worldwide and domestically; current quarantines, containment areas, stay at home orders, and restrictions on congregating and large gatherings imposed by states and other government and public health authorities; travel restrictions into the New York City area; and the various company-imposed travel restrictions on employees affecting attendees and participating companies.
