NY NOW Outlines Health and Safety Protocols for Upcoming Winter Market

The New York Gift Show – NY NOW® announced today strict guidelines in its health and safety protocols for its Winter Market at the Javits Center in New York City. With the health, safety, and support of its community of small businesses across home, design, accessories and more in mind, NY NOW is pleased to report that the Winter Market is on track to safely welcome buyers, customers, partners, and employees on February 6-9, 2022.

In accordance with guidance from New York State, the New York City Department of Health & Hygiene and World Health Organization, NY NOW has implemented additional health and safety measures to ensure the safest possible environment for attendees to effectively conduct business.

Furthering its commitment to creating a safe, comfortable, and informative event experience, NY NOW will have an increased number of health + safety ambassadors throughout the venue to ensure guidelines are being followed and provide masks to guests who may need one. All attendees including staff members, exhibitors, customers, buyers, and partners will be required to show proof of vaccination via a CDC Vaccination Card or approved app at the entrances prior to receiving a badge and must always wear a mask once inside the Javits Center.

Consumer Technology Association Announces 2200 In-Person Exhibitors

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA)® today announced that CES® 2022 will be closing one day early, and the in-person event will take place in Las Vegas on Jan. 5-7, 2022. The step was taken as an additional safety measure to the current health protocols that have been put in place for CES.

Over 2200 exhibitors are confirmed to exhibit in person at CES 2022. In the last two weeks, 143 additional companies have signed up to exhibit in person. Construction of exhibitors’ show floor space is well underway and soon attendees will be able to see and experience the latest tech innovations.

“As the world’s most influential technology event, CES is steadfast in its pledge to be the gathering place to showcase products and discuss ideas that will ultimately make our lives better,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CTA. “We are shortening the show to three days and have put in place comprehensive health measures for the safety of all attendees and participants.”

Consumer Technology Association Announces 2022 In-Person Event

CES 2022 will be in person on January 5-8 in Las Vegas with strong safety measures in place, and our digital access is also available for people that don’t wish to, or can’t travel to Las Vegas. Our mission remains to convene the industry and give those who cannot attend in person the ability to experience the magic of CES digitally.

While we recently received 42 exhibitor cancellations (less than 7% of our exhibit floor), since last Friday we’ve added 60 new exhibitors for our in-person event. Registrations for both our digital access and our Las Vegas event are continuing to show strong momentum, with thousands more registrations in the last few days.

The Toy Association Postpones Toy Fair Dallas Until 2022

In response to challenges posed by the Delta variant of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Toy Association has announced the official postponement of Toy Fair Dallas, which was planned to take place October 5 to 7. It is anticipated new dates in 2022 will be secured at the Dallas Market Center.

“While our exhibitors and hundreds of retail buyers were looking forward to coming back together in person this fall, the health and safety of the greater toy community remains The Toy Association’s number one priority,” said Steve Pasierb, president & CEO of The Toy Association. “In the interim, we remain committed to the ‘possible’ and continue to focus our efforts on providing retail buyers and toymakers with effective ways to connect and do business.”

Specialty Food Association Cancels 2021 Summer Fancy Food Show

Over the last couple of weeks the Media Command HQ has sadly announced the postponement of both the NY Luxury Design Fair and the New York International Auto Show and just a short time ago the Specialty Food Association announced the cancellation of the in-person “Summer Fancy Food Show”. The Specialty Food Association’s Fancy Food Show 2021, the in-person component of the planned dual Fancy Food Show 2021 and Fancy Food 24/7, has been canceled. Fancy Food 24/7, the digital component of the show, will run as planned from September 27 through October 8.

With the increasing concerns about the Delta variant, it was decided that the in-person component of the show should be canceled for the health and safety of all show participants.
