Greetings my readers of “The Chronicles”, I wanted to take a moment out of the busy day to let you know that this Piercing Ken website has been using the Instagram photo-sharing network for ten full years now. Now it would normally be down below where I shared the photo from the anniversary date but truth be told I have been so busy with work and trying to squeeze in adventures when its possible to do so that I had to reflect back a month ago where you see me all official as the COVID Safety Manager for the “Tina – The Tina Turner Musical” on Broadway. It’s interesting and challenging work for sure and I hope you like seeing me all official-like.

BroadwayCon 2020: A Latergram Takeover Of The Piercing Ken Instagram

Back in January, I was in attendance for the always fun BroadwayCon which I’ve described as being akin to a theatre-centric comic convention. It was held at the New York Hilton Midtown and it was a whole lot of theatrical everything to enjoy. As usual I posted some news and some highlights and a lot of photos were taken to be added to our feed here on The Gram but having fallen behind on everything, the plan for February or March fell off quite a bit and then, well…you know what happened in March. Since the scourge known as COVID-19 has taken over the world, I’ve been keeping myself as busy as possible indoors and you all should be doing the same. This is why I am announcing a Latergram Takeover of the Official Instagram of the Piercing Ken site. It’s mostly the fun cosplayers that I encountered along with a few other fun images so I’m pretty sure that you’ll like it. If you’d like to see other BroadwayCon stories on the website you can click HERE as that will open up a new browser tab with any of the content that’s been dedicated to this past years BroadwayCon. My first photo is down below and remember that the best way to help an Instagram profile is to like the images and maybe even comment in if you have something on topic to add to the mix.

The Chronicles Of Piercing Ken’s “Top Nine” Instagrams For 2019

instagram logo

Greetings my friends, we’ve arrived at the time of the year where people get to showcase their “Top Nine” images on Instagram and this reveal is done when they tabulate all of the likes across your profile posts. Though I used Instagram quite a bit this past year I really fell behind based on just how many events I was attending for “The Chronicles Of Piercing Ken” Lifestyle Blog. There is only so much time in the day and with major events like the Toy Insider and TTPM Happenings on top of the NY International Auto Show, the Motorcycle show and several others, it’s safe to say that my sister outlet to PiercingMetal.com it often just as busy if not busier depending on the time of the year. Much like my usage of this medium for PM.com, I can say that I used this even more than our Official Facebook. Let’s talk about the selections for this year.

About These Visuals:
This year’s Top Nine was an interesting mix for sure and finds images from five different specialty events. This made sense based on “The Chronicles” upgrading our convention attendance over the last couple of years and getting access to expos that we had not yet worked professionally. Starting from the top left and working our way around there are two beautiful models from the New York International Auto Show. They were repping Monster Energy drinks during a part of the show called The Dub Show. Then there is inked tattoo goddess Sabrina Sawyers from the New York Empire State Tattoo Expo. She is a big fan of horror and you cannot believe all of the monsters she has on her amazing figure. Last in the row is my beloved black cat Spooke and as I’ve had her since she was born, I never mind her in my yearly visuals. Next row was a surprise because the first two images are from the same event and with mostly the same folks as we have Acey Slade and myself along with a photo of our other friend Chris Caffery at Acey’s Dead Sled Coffee booth during the NYC Hot Sauce Expo. The music fans might already know this but for those in the unaware I should say that Acey is a member of Dope and The Misfits while Chris is a member of Savatage and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Last in the row is an accordion player I chanced upon when on the way home from an event. She was awesome so we included her. Now onto the third row with a sample taste of a Japanese pancake, my annual Christmas photo of the black cat Spooke and then myself with a gigantic Gund teddy bear. Whew.

Well how about that my friends, it appears as though we’ve once again arrived at the time where the Instagram “Top Nine” images are tabulated and that means you get to enjoy them as well. Over the course of 2018, I really was enjoying the use of Instagram as a social networking tool and I’m fairly certain that I used it a lot more than any of the other socials combined. The rundown will come after the image below so please take a gander. I figured that I’d offer up some background on them all.

About These Visuals: Starting from the top left hand corner we’ve got my favorite girl Spooke the Black Cat and she actually made the Top Nice twice this year. The first one is from a vet visit for a quick check up and the other was just her chilling out on my office chair that she likes. There are two photos of me with the first one being from the Style Fashion Week step and repeat area while the other when I was dressed all Southern casual while visiting my family down South. The second row also features two images from the NY Empire State Tattoo Expo which I was honored to wander as a member of the lifestyle media. The extremely lovely ladies pictured from each in a left to right fashion are Ryan Ashley, Nikki Simpson (from an Inked tattoo reality program) and burlesque goddesses LuLu D’Vil, Bon Bon Cherry and Frankie Fictitious. Whew, such talent. The last row are two visuals from BroadwayCon which I attended for the very first time and loved it. Last but not least is a steaming plate of Polish food that my mother made when I was visiting down South. It was so danged good that I had seconds and you know what else was good? Our year in Instagram because I had a blast uploading and sharing all of these and so many more adventures with those who happen by. According to their tally, the account recieved 11.3K likes for the sum total of our 2,860 posted images. I believe we’ve grown by about 60 followers over the year to 681. Let’s see how much closer I can get to 1K on this account over the course of the soon to arrive 2019 year.
