Dreamworks: “She-Ra and the Princesses Of Power” Official Trailer

she-ra and the princesses of power logo

It wasn’t that long ago that I shared the teaser for the upcoming Netflix Original series “She-Ra and the Princesses Of Power” which is a Dreamworks production. The teaser was rather cheap so I was glad to find this new and full clip being revealed today. I submit it for your approval below.

The Premise: She-Ra and the Princesses of Power follows Adora, an orphan raised by the Horde, an evil army led by Hordak, who rules the planet Etheria with an iron fist. One day, after getting lost in the woods, Adora finds a magic sword that transforms her into the titular Princess of Power, She-Ra. After realizing the suffering that the Horde has inflicted on Etheria and its inhabitants, Adora joins the Resistance in the fight against the Horde through rebuilding the Princess Alliance, a group of other magical girls that once all opposed Hordak. Adora’s newfound allegiance to the Resistance pits her against her former best friend Catra, whose sense of abandonment, malicious ambitions, and the disappearance of her former friend enables her to rise in the ranks of the Horde to become the new heroine’s mortal enemy. Rebooting a classic property isn’t something new at all and the practice even hits classic animated series. The latest is a reboot of the “She-Ra Princess Of Power” which was a spin-off of “He-Man and The Masters Of The Universe”. The new series will stream exclusively on Netflix and is aimed at a slightly younger audience. So, for the glory of Greyskull, I give you the teaser trailer for “She-Ra and the Princesses Of Power”.

The CW Network Trailers Are Revealed @ SDCC 2018

During last weeks Comic Con International: San Diego, the trailers came flying at us with reckless abandon and though I’ve added a “Film and Television” Category to “The Chronicles”, the demands on my time with PiercingMetal along with the fact that I am actually just back from a quick vacation with family finds me utilizing the tactic that I recently adopted for the Warner Brothers Pictures trailers. All of the trailer links below are from The CW Network who as most of you know is the home of a number of DC Comics themed shows. Clicking the logo of the series will bring you over to PiercingMetal.com where each show gets its own narrative. Let’s go.

Netflix Presents: Matt Groenig’s “Disenchantment” Official Trailer

As I’ve been ramping up the Film and TV content here on “The Chronicles”, I’m just going to keep on going with this revealed trailer for the new Matt Groenig show called “Disenchantment”. This will go to the Netflix streaming service and after the clip you can check out some premise and the voice cast. Don’t worry, I’ll also toss my personal editorial views in for good measure. Let’s go.

The Plot: Set in the medieval fantasy kingdom of Dreamland, the series follows the story of Bean, a rebellious and alcoholic princess, her naïve elf companion Elfo, and her “personal demon” Luci.

The Cast/Characters:
Abbi Jacobson as Princess Tiabeanie
Eric Andre as Luci & Pendergast
Nat Faxon as Elfo
John DiMaggio as King Zøg
Tress MacNeille as Queen Oona, Prince Derek & The Fairy
Maurice LaMarche as Odval, Big Jo & The Washmaster
David Herman as The Herald, Guysbert & Jerry
Sharon Horgan as Queen Dagmar
Lucy Montgomery as Bunty & The Enchantress
Billy West as Sorcerio, The Jester, Mertz & Pops the Elf
Jeny Batten as Kissy the Elf & Tess the Giantess
Rich Fulcher as Cloyd, Turbish
Matt Berry as Prince Merkimer
Noel Fielding as Stan the Executioner

Piercing Ken Thoughts: Since I’m still watching “The Simpson”s and really enjoyed “Futurama”, I’m going to give Matt’s latest offering a chance when it becomes available for streaming. The great thing about this being on Netflix is that no programming of the DVR is required and if you have a few hours to kill then a series like this can be blasted though in a day. I mean “binged”. The trailer seems funny and quirky and plays along with the mystical realms and the whole “Game Of Thrones” angle so perhaps it will be a nice dose of comedic fun. What do you readers think about this trailer? Will you be setting a reminder on whatever means you use to alert you on August 17th when the show becomes available? Chime in down below.

Disney Channel’s “Big Hero 6 – The Series” Official Trailer

In 2014, I first discussed the Big Hero 6 character and his upcoming film over on PiercingMetal.com (seen HERE)- It wasn’t a normal process for me because I don’t usually feature the Disney films unless they are a part of the Marvel Studios line of releases on that website. Now with a full blown Film and Television section of its own, I am continuing to showcase the stuff that might be for a slightly younger audience. This animated series continues the adventures of Baymax and company in a new Disney Channel show called “Big Hero 6 – The Series”. Let’s take a look.

The Plot: The series is set after the events of the feature film Big Hero 6 and continues the adventures of 14-year-old tech genius Hiro Hamada and the compassionate, cutting-edge robot Baymax created by his late brother Tadashi. Along with his friends Wasabi, Honey Lemon, Go Go and Fred, they form the superhero team Big Hero 6 and embark on high-tech adventures as they protect their city from an array of scientifically enhanced villains. Hiro also faces academic challenges and social trials as the new prodigy at San Fransokyo Institute of Technology (SFIT).
