Greetings my friends and “Happy Holidays” to you and yours. I’m here to let you know that my annual “Christmas Tree Pilgrimage” is currently underway and the first in our series of videos has just premiered on the Official YouTube Channel for Piercing Ken. This year I started in Brooklyn Commons and headed so a few other locations in Downtown Manhattan on what amounted to being a very, very cold night. Please enjoy the first longish video for Phase One of this fun adventuring.

I tend to mentally document the journey in phases with each day that I do something becoming a different phase. Yesterday was a very productive Phase Three and my plan is to get a couple more on Friday for a Phase Four. Here is a rundown of the stops that have already been made for this year: Brooklyn Commons, New York Stock Exchange, South Street Seaport, Brookfield Place, Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library, Bryant Park, Fox News Corporation, 1221 Avenue Of The Americas, Radio City Music Hall, Lotte New York Palace Hotel, Bloomberg Headquarters, American Museum of Natural History, New York Public Library, Rockefeller Center, Penn Station, Penn Plaza, Madison Square Park and Gramercy Park.

Still on my list are Washington Square Park, Grand Army Plaza, Luna Park and a few in Bay Ridge if they are set up this year. A full Historical Playlist can be found below for those interested. This list helps the YouTube Channel but short videos also go to TikTok and Instagram with additional photos on Gram and the website when I can sit down and cobble another post together.

Full Christmas In NYC Historical Playlist

Wrapping up it’s my hope that you are enjoying this special slice of New York City during a truly amazing time. Please be sure to subscribe to those channel feeds and engage with some topical comments so I know you are out there and maybe even heading to some of the locations yourself.

Revisiting The 2022 “Christmas In New York City” Videos

Though I realize that the Thanksgiving celebration is upon us and the Christmas holidays are still a few weeks away, I wanted to share a little project that I had undertook several months ago. The longer term readers of this blogsite know that during the holidays I venture out across the city to capture some stills and visuals of a number of Christmas trees to share their splendor across social media and of course the website and our Official YouTube Channel. This year I decided to begin a little early and revisit the videos that I did in 2022. That year I recorded a lot of clips but instead of presenting them one at a time, I compiled them all together into one massively long video. During the following year’s adventure I realized that while a long clip is nice, the clip should be preceded by all of the individual visits as this will allow for maximum traction and likely help Channel growth more than just one long, long video. As I was posting last year’s adventures, I found that I still had all the individual clean clips from 2022 so they were formatted to spec and uploaded onto the Channel where they sat in the queue for almost a year before beginning to premiere today. The journey in this revisit begins with Brooklyn Commons and each video will premiere at noon until they are finished.

At the time of this writing, I am mapping out the 2024 adventuring to get the most possible done but I first need to confirm that all of the main trees are lit. I believe early next week will be the lighting of the Bryant Park, Wall Street and Big Kahuna at Rockefeller Center and as you know I also hit parts of Brooklyn and higher into Manhattan during this several day jaunt. The full playlist of all of my “Christmas In New York City” adventures can be perused at your leisure by clicking HERE. It’s my hope that it helps inspire those visiting our region during the holidays to do their own adventure or at least see a few of the trees that have been featured in these videos. I hope you will also give the YouTube Channel a subscribe since its been a thriving feed since its launch in late 2020. While it was 10 years overdue I’ve made up for lost time and have more than 900 videos and shorts to enjoy. Remember that watching and engaging with this content not only helps the growth but shows YouTube that we are up to something worth seeing. Thanks in advance for indulging this special project feature. There might be some new videos overlapping but that’s fine since it will only be the case this season.
