“Rocktopia” Begins @ The Broadway Theatre

A couple of months ago, I had the privilege to attend the Press Preview for an upcoming Broadway Rock Meets Classical performance called “ROCKTOPIA”. The experience was documented on my PiercingMetal.com website in an article that you can read by clicking on THIS LINK. I’m here now to announce to you all that the show is opening up in the next couple of days at The Broadway Theatre and you are not going to want to miss this one.

At the time of this writing I am NOT yet going to any of the performances myself but I am definitely interested in catching it at least once. I’d be curious to see how Pat Monahan of Train does with this presentation. Truth be told I’ve never really followed that particular band but I do love his voice overall so think the audience might be in for something wonderful. Considering its only a six week run, I will be listing a number of the performances on our Events Calendar so just click that text to launch it and peruse the show or shows that you want to attend. It’s a lot of entries to do but if I can list a whole gamut of “Springsteen On Broadway” dates, I can do no less for the folks in “Rocktopia”.

Update 3/22/2018: Hey it’s me and I am back with a little more news about “Rocktopia”. So I have two bits of information for you to digest and I will start with the most important one which is the news that legendary Cheap Trick vocalist Robin Zander will be performing with the company during its FINAL week at the end of April. I’ve loved Cheap Trick for as long as I can remember and can only imagine what kind of energy he will bring to this bombastic performance. The second news is that I am now heading to the show for the Friday evening performance. I am SO STOKED FOR THAT. I will very likely do a review for the PiercingMetal.com website and link back to it right here on “The Chronicles”. I’m probably going to want to go again and see Robin Zander since he is a personal favorite. Thanks for reading our update.

The Performers: Alex Alexander, Alyson Cambridge, Chloe Lowery, Henry Aronsen, Kimberly Nichole, Máiréad Nesbitt, Randall Craig Fleischer, Rob Evan, Tony Bruno and Tony Vincent.

Piercing Ken Thoughts: I don’t have much to add about this one so I will just close it out. If you attend “Rocktopia” be sure to let us know how it is down in the comments section below. We’ll see you soon and I am adding this part onto my original closing as now I will be in attendance. Since this is a Broadway show, I will not be doing any sort of photography with the professional gear and only have my mobile phone and point and shoot Samsung on my person for the candid moments if I have any. The scenery around me sort of thing which makes a blog more personable. Be sure to snag a ticket for this experience while its here. Being a part of this amazing metropolis means supporting its vibrant entertainment scene. Sure it costs money to do so, but what doesn’t 🙂
