As previously noted, The Chronicles Of Piercing Ken lifestyle blog was once again attending the American International Toy Fair over at the Javits Center and now with the event over and done with the time has come to load up the outlet with all of the amazing sights and products that were offered up by some incredible companies. I’m continuing the posts with one of our personal favorites – Safari Ltd. Let’s go.
I’m a big fan of the stuff that comes out from Safari Ltd. and cannot emphasize their quality enough to our readers. They are both educational (since they look so much like their subject) and fun. What is better than that. With this post I’ll be focusing on the new offerings and some more familiar ones as we close out. Do you not just love this dragon? I know you do.
The mythical creatures look great and wow, is that a werewolf? It sure is.
Welcome back to another group of visuals from the 2016 Toy Fair. With this installment I am putting two find companies together and shall showcase both the Safari Ltd. stuff with that of the Tonner Doll Company. Let’s take a look at Safari Ltd. first.
I’ve really enjoyed the items that we find at the Safari Ltd. area when we begin exploring their stuff. You’ve probably seen a lot of these fine plastic animals for sale at museum gift shops when you make your way out of an exhibit. Here are some of the popular creations that have been given a remastering treatment since their original debut.
Continuing with the discoveries at the 2016 Toy Fair, its time to get a glance at the Tokidoki Booth. They always have some awesome stuff.
I didn’t take as many photos of the booth this year but focused on the latest additions to their popular lines. Tokidoki is big on the “Blind Box” stuff and you never know which one you are going to get until you open it. Personally speaking this drives me crazy as a collector but this is the new generation of buying and trading ones trinkets. These are the “Moofia” ones.
We are surely cooking with gas as the fantastic finds from the 2016 Toy Fair continue. I am so very glad to have started using this blog for additional visuals and now we’re going to peruse the Gund booth for a few moments.
Gund has been making high quality plush stuffed animals for decades now and you might recall their slogan of “Gotta Get A Gund”. I love passing by this company’s booth because one year they had Grumpy Cat in attendance and another year were showcasing the new Ugly Doll KISS plush dolls. While choosing to expand my visiting of this convention I still keep my geek side close to my heart so focused on anything featuring the properties that I like the most. That finds me beginning with their dolls dressed as popular DC Comics superheroes. This is Griffin and Malone dressed as Superman and Batman respectively.
They had a Flash and Robin (who I later learned was named Hardwin) and a Wonder Woman named Anya who is coming up in a couple of photos.
I’m moving steadily along with the coverage of the 2016 Toy Fair and with this particular narrative will be bringing you some visuals from both the Folkmanis Puppets company and the legendary Madame Alexander. Here we go.
I’ve enjoyed the finds at the Folkmanis Puppets section of Toy Fair since I first began exploring this convention back in 2011. Their high quality puppets are wonderful to look at and to use. The company is also celebrating their fortieth anniversary this year so kudos to that. Let’s check out some of the latest products.
