movie logos, creed iii, creed iii movie logo

Most of the friends of my vintage grew up with the “Rocky” franchise of films and many were excited about the story continuing with the offspring of the late great Apollo Creed with the “Creed” films. With the first two films doing good in the box office, MGM is offering up a third in “Creed III”. The first trailer for this 2023 release just dropped and I’m sharing this along with the premise, casting and artwork. Enjoy.

The Synopsis: Five years after Creed II, after dominating the boxing world, Adonis “Donnie” Creed has been thriving in both his career and family life. When a childhood friend and former boxing prodigy, Damian “Dame” Anderson, resurfaces after serving a long sentence in prison, he is eager to prove that he deserves his shot in the ring. The face-off between former friends is more than just a fight. To settle the score, Donnie must put his future on the line to battle Dame – a fighter who has nothing to lose.

Presenting The 75th Annual Tony Awards Winners

The time is now my friends and it’s truly Broadway’s Biggest Night as the 75th Annual Tony Awards winners were recently given their trophies for excellence in theatre. I don’t think I have to state the obvious but this pandemic was a hard hit to the world of Broadway shows. Live theatre was put on hold back in March of 2020 and wouldn’t return until September of 2021 which is about 18 months dark. Let’s remember that this is more than the shows and the actors playing all the roles. It’s the musicians, its the stagehards and the assorted front of house staff and all those behind the scenes. The pandemic created COVID safety teams which I even participated in once the re-opening happened and when that return was in play, it was a wonderful thing to behold. So I casually watched the broadcast to catch the announcements and will be watching in full tomorrow since its a slower day for me. The main host of the show was Ariana DeBose and here now are your winners for the 75th Annual Tony Awards.

The Premise:

However, an untimely accident causes Gardner’s soul to be separated from his body and begin to proceed to the Great Beyond, and Gardner escapes to the Great Before, a world where souls develop personalities, quirks, and traits before being sent off to Earth. There, Gardner must work with souls in training at the Great Before, such as 22, a soul with a dim view on the concept of life, in order to return to Earth before his body dies and also avoid a soul-counter named Terry, who goes to earth to find Joe and bring him back to the afterlife to meet her quota.

It was a different world when we first touched upon the upcoming Disney Pixar release “Soul” and shared with the readership the first trailer (seen HERE in the event you missed it). Thanks to the continued issues surrounding this dreaded Coronavirus Pandemic, the film will no longer be premiering in theaters and will instead go directly to the Disney+ streaming service. The second trailer was recently unveiled and let’s take a look at that down below along with the background and the voice casting.
