Warner Brothers Presents: “Mowgli” Official Trailer (10/2018)

While I was surprised to find another live-action story based on Rudyard Kipling’s “The Jungle Book” but here we are with “Mowgli” which comes care of Warner Brothers and has just released its first trailer. Let’s take a look.

The Premise: The story follows the upbringing of the human child Mowgli raised by a pack of wolves in the jungles of India. As he learns the often-harsh rules of the jungle, under the tutelage of a bear named Baloo and a panther named Bagheera, Mowgli becomes accepted by the animals of the jungle as one of their own, except by one: the fearsome tiger Shere Khan. But there may be greater dangers lurking in the jungle, as Mowgli comes face to face with his human origins.

STX Entertainment’s “The Happytime Murders” Official Restricted Trailer (8/2018)

The film “The Happytime Murders” is a dark comedy that might call to mind some of the madness that we got from “Team America” but while the latter film was all puppets, this one features a human casting along with puppets and it stars Melissa McCarthy. Check out the uncensored trailer below and be sure to send the kids up to do their homework if you are playing this without headphones. It’s really NOT for their ears. Trust me on that.

The Plot: In a world where puppets are reviled and considered inferior to humans, puppet private investigator, Phil Phillips, reunites with his ex-partner Detective Connie Edwards to find a serial killer who murdered Phil’s brother and is now targeting the cast members of the 1980s television series The Happytime Gang.

Warner Brothers: “Teen Titans GO! To The Movies” Official Trailer #1

Despite things being a bit of a mess with the live-action DC Extended Universe, the folks at Warner Brothers Animation do a stand up job at delivering some really great animated features. We’ve gotten some killer stuff like “Justice League: Flashpoint”, “Batman: Gotham By Gaslight” and even the more recent “Batman Ninja” and now its time for “Teen Titans GO! To The Movies” which is uhm, err……something quite different entirely. Check out the full trailer for this film that just hit yesterday.

The Plot:
The Teen Titans learn that almost every hero in the DC Universe has their own films, ranging from Batman and Superman, to characters like Aquaman and Alfred! That said, they search for a director for their movie. But the Hollywood director Jade Wilson rejects their offer due to the fact that because of their recent actions over the past few years the Teen Titans can no longer be taken seriously. However, they find a window of opportunity for their own movie by having their own nemesis in the form of Slade, who plans to mind control the entire Justice League and take over the world.

Warner Brothers Pictures “The Meg” Official Trailer (2018)

In 2018, we will all have another reason to be afraid to go into the water thanks to “The Meg” which is short for “Megalodon” which means giant frigging Great White Shark. I’ve had interest in reading the novel that this film is based on and the first trailer for the upcoming Warner Brother Pictures release is presented below for your perusal.

The Premise: After escaping an attack by what he claims was by a 70-foot shark, Jonas Taylor must confront his fears to save those trapped in a sunken submersible (c/o IMDB).

The Cast/Characters:
Jason Statham as Jonas Taylor
Li Bingbing as Suyin Zhang
Rainn Wilson as Jack Morris
Ruby Rose as Jaxx Herd
Winston Chao as Dr. Minway Zhang
Cliff Curtis as James “Mac” Mackreides
Page Kennedy as DJ
Jessica McNamee as Celeste
Olafur Darri Olafsson as The Wall
Robert Taylor as Dr. Heller
Shuya Sophia Cai as Meiying
Masi Oka as Toshi
Rob Kipa-Williams as D’Angelo
Tawanda Manyimo as Marks

Piercing Ken Thoughts: I loved this trailer and felt that it brings back some of the monster shark craze that hit when “Jaws” was release so many years ago. I read that book long before I saw it in the movies and even the book had me off water for awhile. Of course this fear didn’t apply to the bathtub despite my youthful insistence and parents, I fear we might find this sort of behavior resurfacing thanks to “The Meg”. Personally speaking, I love giant monster films and since Megalodon is an ancient predator he falls into that category when it comes to this film. I’m also a Jason Statham fan so look forward to seeing this one. What did you think of the trailer? Let me know down in the comments section below and to close out I’ve shared a couple of the teaser posters.
