Now Playing: “Dumbo” in Theaters Everywhere (3/29/2019)

By now I’d like to think that you’ve seen the trailer for Disney’s “Dumbo” but if you didn’t please click HERE to be on point with us all. Today the Tim Burton envisioning of the classic Disney character opens in theaters everywhere. Let’s review the poster, premise and casting before we close this post up.

The Premise: Holt was once a circus star, but he went off to war and when he returned it had terribly altered him. Circus owner Max Medici hires him to take care of Dumbo, a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him the laughing stock of the struggling circus troupe. But when Holt’s children discover that Dumbo can fly, silver-tongued entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere, and aerial artist Colette Marchant swoop in to make the little elephant a star. (c/o Wiki)

Now Playing: “Captain Marvel” in Theaters Everywhere (3/8/2019)

Today is the day my friends as its time for us to go higher, further and faster with the mighty Captain Marvel who makes her grand debut as a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the very first time. The film is opening up today in theaters everywhere but first let’s revisit some of the posts that were done in support of the release over on the PiercingMetal.com website. Last month, Marvel Comics unleashed a crop of one dollar comics, their “True Believers” line which all featured her and you might still be able to get most of them if you ask your local retailer about them. Below you will find the Official Theatrical Poster, premise and casting. I’ve spiced it up by adding some other posters as well before my closing thoughts.

The Premise: Set in the mid-1990s, Captain Marvel follows Carol Danvers, a former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, as she turns into one of the galaxy’s mightiest heroes and joins Starforce, an elite Kree military team, before returning home with new questions about her past and identity when the Earth is caught in the center of an intergalactic conflict between two alien worlds. The Plot: It’s been five years since the events of Taco Tuesday and the Duplo invaders have made Bricksburg into a post apocalyptic wasteland. Emmet pretends everything is still awesome, unlike everyone else. When a new invader named Sweet Mayhem comes and kidnaps all his friends including Wyldstyle, Emmet must go into space and rescue them.

Now Playing: “Glass” in Theaters Everywhere (1/18/2019)

Though it’s been a few months since the last reference, I’ve posted about the film “Glass” a couple of times already in posts about the First Trailer and the Second Trailer which you can enjoy by clicking the hyperlinked text. Each of them feature some cool promotional posters so do take a moment to do that and to refresh yourself with the film that brings M Night Shyamalan’s trilogy to its close. “Glass” opens today in theaters everywhere so let’s review the main poster, premise and casting.

Now Playing: “Aquaman” in Theaters Everywhere (12/21/2018)

Superhero fans around the world will be able to give themselves an early Christmas present (or a late Hanukkah present depending on which you follow) based on the opening of the film “Aquaman” which continues Warner Brothers Pictures “DC Extended Universe”. I’ve discussed the film a few times over on the PiercingMetal website in terms of the Final Trailer (seen HERE) and some awesome Promotional Posters (seen HERE).
