We have arrived my friends. The culmination of some “22” Marvel Studios films has all led us to this moment and “Avengers: Endgame” will be playing EVERYWHERE starting today. Some folks saw the late night advance viewing last night so I hope they are mindful of spoiling it for the rest of us. I’ve been discussing the film a lot on my PiercingMetal website and a number of trailers and other treats can be explored over there by clicking HERE. Now let’s review the Official Poster, premise and casting of this sure to be monumental release.
The Premise: Following the events of Avengers: Infinity War, with half of the universe killed in an event dubbed “The Decimation”, the universe lies in shambles and the remaining Avengers and their allies must reassemble to repair the damage caused by Thanos and bring harmony back to the universe. As you know, we post a LOT of film content here on “The Chronicles” and sometimes I will defer you to my PiercingMetal.com website while at other times will do the same post. Today we use the same post with a little creative editing because this kind of film is just too good for web traffic which is always something we want happening. Here we go with the thoughts that I ran over there a short time ago. Good morning my friends, as you read this, the recently opened “Captain Marvel” film has achieved a worldwide box office take of $524 million dollars. As you know, the character is going to be a pivotal component in the next chapter which happens during “Avengers: Endgame” which makes me stoked to have found a brand-new trailer being revealed only minutes ago. Let’s take a look but put the coffee down before you watch. Trust me. After this you can enjoy the expansive cast, revealed premise and the Official Theatrical poster.

Today is the day my friends as its time for us to go higher, further and faster with the mighty Captain Marvel who makes her grand debut as a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the very first time. The film is opening up today in theaters everywhere but first let’s revisit some of the posts that were done in support of the release over on the PiercingMetal.com website. Last month, Marvel Comics unleashed a crop of one dollar comics, their “True Believers” line which all featured her and you might still be able to get most of them if you ask your local retailer about them. Make a checklist from the post found HERE. I also showcased some Promotional Posters and a Special Look Trailer so click those italicized words to see the posts. Below you will find the Official Theatrical Poster, premise and casting. I’ve spiced it up by adding some other posters as well before my closing thoughts.
The Premise: Set in the mid-1990s, Captain Marvel follows Carol Danvers, a former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, as she turns into one of the galaxy’s mightiest heroes and joins Starforce, an elite Kree military team, before returning home with new questions about her past and identity when the Earth is caught in the center of an intergalactic conflict between two alien worlds. PiercingMetal Thoughts: This was a seriously somber trailer and didn’t show too much action as much as it showed the characters dealing with the outcome from the preceding film. As you can see by the casting, just about everyone is going to be in this film and that makes me really excited for the promotional posters to come since I always share those. It was interesting to not see Captain Marvel at all in this first clip since we know she is a part of the solution and if you missed our showcase of that second trailer just click HERE to be up to date. I’ll close up by asking what you think about this and you can share your thoughts down in the comments below.
It was pretty exciting news to learn that the second trailer for the upcoming Marvel Studio film “Captain Marvel” was going to air last night during the football game but I didn’t watch it there since I don’t follow any of that stuff at all. I closely monitored the YouTube channels and now, without any further adieu, here is the latest trailer for Marvel’s “Captain Marvel”…..hold onto your hats!
The Cast/Characters: Brie Larson as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury Ben Mendelsohn as Talos Djimon Hounsou as Korath Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser Lashana Lynch as Maria Rambeau Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva Algenis Perez Soto as Att-Lass Mckenna Grace as young Carol Danvers Rune Temte as Bron-Char Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson Jude Law as Mar-Vell/Walter Lawson Additionally, Robert Kazinsky, Annette Bening, Vik Sahay, Colin Ford, and Chuku Modu have been cast in undisclosed roles.
Piercing Ken Thoughts: I’m just going to repeat what I said on the same post that lives on PiercingMetal.com since I obviously feel the same way on this side of the creative coin. With the first trailer I had said “Oh Marvel Studios it sure looks like you have done it again” and wow does this second trailer exceed all the expectations that I had from the first one. This looks like its going to blow our minds and do that necessary expanding of the Cosmic Universe in the MCU. Don’t even get me started on that amazing theatrical poster that led you into our closing editorial ramblings. Such color, such powerful visuals…..PSYCHED! Now that we are in December, this film will be here before you know it but of course still comes after the other action films we’ve recently been discussing like “Mortal Engines”, “Bumblebee”, “Aquaman” and that weirdness they are calling “Once Upon A Deadpool” (which is the PG cut of “Deadpool 2”). Clearly, 2019 is going to kick some serious cinema behind and now the countdown begins for the forthcoming trailer for “Godzilla: King Of The Monsters” and “Avengers 4” (which still has no title). What did you readers think about the latest trailer? Do you love it or do you love it? Chime in down below in the comments and I shall see you next time.
