BroadwayCon 2020 Adds “Six” To The Programming Lineup

BroadwayCon 2020 welcomes the eagerly anticipated upcoming Broadway production SIX to the programming lineup! As part of MainStage programming, members of the cast will perform during BroadwayCon’s annual First Look on Friday, January 24. The SIX Spotlight session on Sunday, January 26 will feature members of the creative team. Tickets are on sale now at BroadwayCon.com/register.

Additional programming featuring SIX includes a beginner dance workshop and singalong on Saturday, January 25, 2020. For more information about workshops at BroadwayCon, please visit BroadwayCon.com/workshops.

Since 2016, BroadwayCon has been the premiere fan convention for all things Broadway. Highlights from previous years include show spotlights with the casts of Hamilton (2016, 2017), Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (2019), Mean Girls (2019), and Dear Evan Hansen (2017), reunions with the original casts of RENT (2016), and In The Heights (2018), performances by Sara Barielles (2016, Waitress), Jenn Colella (2016, Come From Away), Christy Altomare (2017, Anastasia), surprise appearances by Lin-Manuel Miranda (2017) and Kristin Chenoweth (2019), and so much more.

To celebrate the diversity that makes the American gaming industry and New York City so special, Playcrafting – one of the largest game communities in the U.S. – announced today it will unveil five “Graffiti Game” installations created exclusively for the 3rd Annual Play NYC convention on August 10th and 11th at the Metropolitan Pavilion (125 W 18th Street). As New York City hosts WorldPride and marks the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, this year’s Graffiti Games will honor the voices, talent and impact of LGBTQ community in gaming and the importance of creating a safe space for all to be their authentic selves.

The two-month countdown to the 3rd annual Play NYC has begun and Playcrafting revealed today the first 26 exhibitors from studios big and small that will show off their games at the largest, two-day game convention this August 10th and 11th at Metropolitan Pavilion (125 W 18th Street).

“Last year we wanted to bring in more developers than ever before,” says Dan Butchko, Founder & CEO of Playcrafting, the convention organizer. “For 2019, we’re doubling down, making sure we have an even more diverse mix of games and studios that showcase the true essence and impact of the U.S. gaming community. Driftwood Country Music Festival Expands To Austin & Denver

Though we’ll be locked down to our own Music Metropolis at the time of this interesting festival, I wanted to share the latest scoop about it since their publicity channel has provided us with a whole lot of details. Read on and learn more about the Driftwood Country Music Festival…..

Premier music festival production company Synergy Global Entertainment (SGE) and California’s most successful and respected craft beer festival producer Brew Ha Ha Productions are pleased to announce the expansion of the acclaimed Driftwood Country Music, Craft Beer & BBQ Festival to include dates in Denver, CO and Austin, TX in September. Both dates will feature performances from country music acts Chase Rice, Michael Ray, Walker Hayes, Seth Ennis, and more, along with over 100 craft beers from some of the best breweries in the nation, and tasty BBQ from some of the region’s top eateries. Details on Driftwood’s flagship 2-day show in Dana Point, CA will be announced later this month.

Each date of Driftwood will include craft beer selections from a ton of local favorites, along with top national breweries. The Denver market will feature craft beer tastings, where craft beer lovers who are 21+ can sample over 100 craft beers from the finest breweries in the nation until 4:00 PM with an initial list of participating breweries including Avery Brewing, Brooklyn Brewery, Celis Brewing, Colorado Cider Company, Firestone Walker, Flying Man Brewing, FunkWerks, Lone Pint Brewing, Meridian Hive, and Two Wheel Brewing. The Austin market will have various craft beers for purchase, with an initial list of participating breweries including 21st Amendment, Avery Brewing, Big Choice Brewing, Moonlight Brewing Co., Oskar Blues, Renegade Brewing Co., Ska Brewing, and Upslope Brewing. Craft beer tasting options will vary by city according to local alcohol laws and restrictions. Note: Brewery list varies by market. The 2018 Driftwood dates are as follows:
