We were regular viewers of the Showtime Original drama series “Ray Donovan” and were quite dismayed after the 7th season finale when the news that the series would not be renewed was announced. While not looking to spoil anything for those who are using the pandemic time to catch up on all sorts of programming, I can safely say that it ended with a few different cliffhanger moments. Fortunately, Showtime decided to wrap it all up with a feature film that will air in January and since both the teaser and official trailer were released today I am placing them in the same post. I’ve also included some light premise and casting for your consumption. Enjoy.
There’s no denying the popularity of the “Fast and The Furious” series of films and if you are someone that enjoys high speed chases, mind blowing spectacles and stunts, then they are right up your alley. Now it seems as though they’ve branched out a little and are building a bit of a universe by letting two of their characters go head to head against an insidious evil. While I was surprised to find another live-action story based on Rudyard Kipling’s “The Jungle Book” but here we are with “Mowgli” which comes care of Warner Brothers and has just released its first trailer. Let’s take a look.
The Premise: The story follows the upbringing of the human child Mowgli raised by a pack of wolves in the jungles of India. As he learns the often-harsh rules of the jungle, under the tutelage of a bear named Baloo and a panther named Bagheera, Mowgli becomes accepted by the animals of the jungle as one of their own, except by one: the fearsome tiger Shere Khan.
