Cue: BroadwayCon Will Return To Midtown In 2019

Earlier in the year, I attended my first-ever BroadwayCon which was held at the Javits Center. The other day we learned of some news about the 2019 convention on their blog so we’ve shared this press release with you below should this happening be of interest to you.

The Press Release:
We can finally tell you what we have in store for 2019! The first three years of BroadwayCon have featured incredible performances, new friendships, and lots of fun. And now we’re moving the fun back into the theatre district.

BroadwayCon is at its best when it’s in the center of it all, so we are bringing it back inland and are thrilled to announce that BroadwayCon 2019 will return to where we started: the Hilton Midtown, with the addition of the beautiful, historic Ziegfeld Ballroom next door. Mark your calendars! BroadwayCon 2019 will take place January 11–13.

It’s been a great two years at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center but we could not be more excited to bring BroadwayCon back to the heart of the city that is integral to the Broadway community we know and love. Snag tickets to a show during the weekend? Now you’ll be able to squeeze in one last panel or singalong before the curtain rises. Tired of the same food court offerings? We are too! At the Hilton Midtown, you’ll be just minutes away from a huge variety of restaurants serving nearly every cuisine, and they deliver!

PiercingMetal Goes To NY Comic Con 2017 @ Javits Center

Good afternoon my friends. I’m taking a minute of your time to use The Chronicles as a PSA to let you know that I have just begun loading up my thoughts and images from the currently running NY Comic Con. As usual this event is taking over the Javits Center and beyond and I am proud to share that I am once again wandering this massive happening as a member of the press. If you click the graphic below, you will be transported over to the PiercingMetal.com website and see a rundown of the posts that are online.

So far there are a little more than a handful, but that is because the event is still running at the time of this writing. It’s common for me to post between 4 and 6 posts per day from the convention since I like to keep the images to “50” and no more per post. It’s more work like this but who cares, I want to give you the most I possibly can. Please check it out and know that much more is coming to this site as well based on all the things that I have been lining up.

Remember that the means to comment on this post has been turned OFF as I encourage those who are compelled to add thoughts to do so on the chapter that is most relevant to do so on. Thanks for listening.

“The Chronicles” of Piercing Ken Celebrates 5th Anniversary on Instagram

instagram, instagram logo, social media logos

Hey there my friends, so I am just taking a quick moment out of your day to let you know that “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” website has been using the Instagram photo-sharing social media platform for five years. Five years!!!! I’m rather shocked about it since I don’t always take to some of these networks since they aren’t always helpful to the brand. However, since “The Chronicles” became more of a professional voice back in 2016, I have to say that this has been helping. The Piercing Ken profile has done some awareness to the site stuff based on what I’ve been posting and I am okay with that. Now since I didn’t have a photo from the actual anniversary day posted I went back a few days and share this absolutely vintage photograph of me. I think I am about 1.5 years old here so let me have it.

Pencilling It In With Piercing Ken :)

editorial, editorial logo

If you’ve examined my PiercingMetal.com site you probably are well aware of the regional events calendar that it features. If not, this has been an offering for the readers since that site was launched and back in 2015 it had a significant upgrade to a WordPress plugin called “The Events Calendar”. To say that this has been a boon in keeping the site visitors aware of all the awesome that is happening around us is an understatement. That makes today an exciting day for me here at The Chronicles Of Piercing Ken since I have decided to integrate this same calendar plugin as a feature on this website as well. Clicking the logo image below will launch it for you but you can do that a little later since I want to discuss what this one will entail first.

Initially I thought that I could easily share the Webcalendar from PiercingMetal.com over here and be done with it but with the readers of this site being very different from that side of my creative coin I decided that it deserved a calendar of its own. Since “The Chronicles” is a Lifestyle website this calendar would feature more lifestyle related items than my other one and surely no Metal shows at all. At times there will be some listings that mirror the PM.com one such as the NY Comic Con and other related events but there will also be conventions and festivals that you would never see lined out on my other site. I’ve already begun populating the final regional performances of the circus and the upcoming NY Auto Show and in most cases these listings will come with links to purchase tickets to make it easier on you. I’ve already made plans for some food-related and family focused happenings to be listed and at the end of the day the goal remains the same – get people into some fun-filled and interesting events.

The Chronicles Calendar can be accessed via our menu options at the top of the page and I encourage you to bookmark it as it will be updated regularly. I hope that you all enjoy it and tell others that its here. Please feel free to toss some thoughts on this new initiative down in the comments below. I’d love to hear from you.

Here’s The 59th Annual Grammy Award Winners List

As 2017 continues to get itself into gear, I’ve decided to use “The Chronicles” as a platform to showcase the winners list rundown of the assorted awards shows that come at us during the year. I felt this would be some good content for the larger media side of the creative fence. Last night the Grammy Awards were given out for so many genres of popular music it will make your head spin. They have some “Rock” and “Metal” categories which I speak a little about over on PiercingMetal, but that is generally done to fire up our readers should something important be overlooked. Let’s get on with the rundown that was culled from numerous other entertainment mediums for your benefit. It’s quite a list so I’d get another cup of coffee if I were you.
