Sink Your Teeth Into “The Meg” Promotional Posters (Opens Friday)

The new Warner Brothers Pictures release is “The Meg” and it features a gigantic prehistoric shark known as the “Carcharocles Megalodon” and it opens on Friday. I was going to wait until the “Release” posting to share these posters but when my friend shared a live video to her Facebook stream that showed a really big shark in the waters of Brighton Beach with dozens of swimmers nearby I decided to post them today in advance. Gauging from the fast moving clip the shark did look big and was likely a Great White but the nearby people did seem to get out of the water without incident. That was GOOD thing for sure. So let’s begin with the “Coming Soon” poster that I first shared in the trailer narrative and once the premise of the new film has gone by you can check the rest of them out.

The Premise: Five years ago, expert sea diver and Naval Captain Jonas Taylor encountered an unknown danger in the unexplored recesses of the Mariana Trench that forced him to abort his mission and abandon half his crew. Though the tragic incident earned him a dishonorable discharge, what ultimately cost him his career, his marriage and any semblance of honor was his unsupported and incredulous claims of what caused it – an attack on his vessel by a mammoth, 70-foot sea creature, believed to be extinct for more than a million years. But when a submersible lies sunk and disabled at the bottom of the ocean – carrying his ex-wife among the team onboard – he is the one who gets the call. Whether a shot at redemption or a suicide mission, Jonas must confront his fears and risk his own life and the lives of everyone trapped below on a single question: Could the Carcharodon Megalodon – the largest marine predator that ever existed – still be alive … and on the hunt? (c/o IMDB).

I also unearthed some fun nutritional value posters for the assorted “menu” options that The Meg will be indulging in during the course of the film. Based on the overall size of the creature, they better revise the “all you can eat” menu after this.

Piercing Ken Thoughts: Though I am sure you’ve seen it by now since it seems to be on every channel, the link to the Official Trailer is posted HERE in case you missed it. At this point I am hoping to catch it early in its run but don’t know yet since I have some other things on my immediate plate. It’s going to be a busy weekend here in NYC as both the “Fear The Riff” Effects Expo and “Play NYC” are taking place and I will be hitting both of these events. This is more than I usually say during poster visual narratives so I will leave now. These were pretty awesome weren’t they? Now, its time to go and get ready for the next item on my list and oh by the way, if you are swimming and you hear the whistle from the lifeguard, get out of the water as fast and as calmly as you possibly can. That shark clip from the local beach really spooked me and I sure don’t want anything to happen to my readers.
