It was that time of the year again my toy loving content readers and if you’ve been keeping up with this site for any measure of time you know that I am talking about the one and only Toy Insider “Sweet Suite”. The event was once again being held down at Chelsea Piers and its here that some of the greatest toy companies known to man would be taking over and shining spotlights on their latest items for assorted influencers and representatives of the press.
Since there is always so much to do at the “Sweet Suite”, I like to get there right at the opening of doors so I have maximum exploration time. This entrance was guarded by some awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles balloons.
As we walked further into the event space, which is quite sizable I might add, we were greeted by a giant Green Crayon from Crayola and Scout who is a popular mascot of the Leap Frog folks. I will be passing by both of those booths along the way but can’t say when since I’m just arriving.
Up above the balloons reminded you were you were but now it was time to get to work and seeing all the products. It’s playtime, in a manner of speaking of course. Let’s roll…
This time around I’ve decided to try and do my photos a little differently. You might not see this in the comforts of home or on your mobile but I’ve made most of the images reflect their company for easier use in the website software. I’m starting off with the awesome “Cats Vs. Pickles” and I love both of these things and especially when they are cute little plushie toys. Very collectible and they mostly come in blind bags so you don’t know which one you’ll get. These inspire trading as I’m told.
I’m fairly certain that we all start off with a small box of crayons from Crayola and let our imaginations fly. It’s always a treat to see what new developments and cute products that are rolling out from the brand. I am quite fond of the “Scribble Scrubbie” line and the magic markers that smell like good things and even bad things.
I talked to the folks repping Purpose Toys at the Play Date earlier in the year and now they were back at the Sweet Suite showcasing a line of Latin-themed dolls. Very interesting for sure and I even did a video that will premiere on our Official YouTube when time permits it to run. Head over there via the hyperlinked text and click “Notify Me” so you know when it premieres.
Now it was time to get a little bit to eat. I have to admit that The Toy Insider always manages to serve up some quality eats. What you see down below is a couple of meatball sliders, some fresh mozzarella and pasta. They also have specialty drinks available and since I don’t drink alcohol these days I am stoked that they have mocktails as well.
That’s going to bring me to the end of this installment from “The Sweet Suite”. Don’t worry as I will have more coming up before you know it. I’ve already mentioned that some videos with exhibitors were coming but in addition to that I have some items hitting the PiercingMetal website that you can check out by clicking HERE. I hope that some of these visuals have found you taking notes for the holiday season. Stay tuned for more.
