Hey there readers, it was that time of the year for the Javits Center, as the NY International Auto Show would take over the place for ten days. I haven’t gone in a couple of years and wasn’t sure I could offer up the time to do so but when one of my regular readers informed me of a free ticket from the fine folks at Toyota, how could I resist. I attended a couple of days after the Easter break and broke my images up into several posts to make them easier to visually digest. I will not be speaking much during this one since I am not the biggest car study. Enjoy.
I was heading to the upstairs where they had a whole bunch of motorcycles on display. Those are always cool to photograph if you like looking at bikes that is.
Geico Insurance had a booth where they were pitching attendees to enroll or switch to their insurance. I don’t have a car at present but took some pics of the cool bikes they had and even managed to secure one of the little plush Geico lizards. I’ve been trying to get one of those for a couple of years since they are always at NY Comic Con but almost impossible to snag.
I took a very quick peruse past the motorcycles where numerous vendors had set up shop to sell some things that are useful to drivers and other stuff that made no damned sense to me at all. There are t-shirts and license plate stuff along with seat cover people and more. I didn’t spend too much time here because I will be completely honest and say that I find most of them to be very pushy and not too friendly at all. That is no way to do business and generate cold hard cash.
Here’s the latest trend to hit the streets. I’ve heard about them only recently and its a nifty little simple gadget aimed at those with impatience or anxiety. You just spin it around. It’s hardly worth $12 each though. If you are curious hit one of your local dollar stores as they are bound to have them by the plenty.
Alright my friends that will bring us to the end of my first installment of these photos. I have quite a few more to share with you and if you are doing the Instagram thing, please take a look at our Official PiercingKen Account and give it a follow and some likes. There are a number of images from the expo that were done exclusively for that profile. I’ll be back in a couple of days with more visuals and until then click on some of the links of the stuff we highlighted in this chapter.
