Greetings my friends and welcome again to what will pretty much amount to being the final post for this calendar year 2024 here on “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken”. If you’ve followed along with the website over the last few years and around this particular time, you know that we are here to talk about “The Honeymooners” because its time for the complete rundown of episodes that will be shown on PIX11 for their annual marathon. I’ve been doing this since 2020 and since its a longtime favorite show that has withstood the tests of time I’ve made this a bit of a year-end tradition. I remember the network doing this for many years even before we were publishing and a quick Google Search found that this has been done since 1996. I initially did this during the first year of the pandemic to help inspire people to remain inside but since so many in my circle aren’t doing too much and instead do mellow hangs I’ve kept it going. Now before I list the rundown, let me point out that the information on it was a little spotty and didn’t match up 100%. I used two resources to cull the data together and on the PIX11 website, the marathon shows as pausing from 4AM to 7AM to show local news and programming. On the other resource, the Spectrum TV Channel Guide, shows the marathon pausing from 4AM to 8AM for the same aforementioned programming. Then I saw a commercial on Channel 11 saying that there were “27” episodes to watch so I suggest just programming the whole time. Down below I’ve listed what can be found on the website listings. The other difference is that this year the marathon begins at 12:30AM on New Year’s Day as opposed to being the final hour of programming on the Channel before the New Year begins. We are also following Eastern Standard Time. If you’re in New York City like we are that means we are losing some five and a half possible marathon hours. IMHO, no one is that interested in regional and world news after partying and would likely rather spend the time with the Kramdens and the Nortons. Though I appreciate the fact that PIX11 does this marathon every year, they would serve their audience best by getting all the main important news into one broadcast for one hours time and leave the rest to the marathon. After the year that 2024 was, I would rather hear less about the things that are wrong since my regular news reminds me of that on a daily basis. The rundown is presented down below in full and please remember where it was sourced from if there should be any discrepancies. If anything is different when the broadcast happens do NOT yell at me in the comments and please instead send any gripes to the network directly via their social media profiles or website contact information. I think social media would work best in this case scenario and now onto the rundown.

Piercing Ken Thoughts: Having already complained about the four hour pause I think I can add that I am surprised about their own countdown program. For many, the New Year’s Eve countdown begins and ends with the “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rocking Eve” and for me I only end up watching the final ten minutes of it. I would have preferred additional episodes during the marathon or maybe even the inclusion of some of the “Lost Episodes” as those never seem to be aired. So I’ve just confirmed that I would not be doing anything exciting for New Year’s Eve so I will be just chilling here at the Media Command HQ watching the countdown, the marathon and replying to any of the texts that might be hitting my mobile. I do plan on adding the whole batch of episodes to the DVR even though I’ve seen every episode a number of times. If you are considering some wild revelry, and in the Big Apple doing it please watch out for yourself and those who are with you. The city remains overwhelming of late and we want all of our friends in the readership to be safe and sound but that is it for my soapboxing. To those in other regions from our own metropolis be sure to check your own local listings for any changes even though it might end up being exactly the same. As before I will ask again for you chime in down in the comments and let us know what some of your favorite episodes are and why. That will make the post even more awesome. So let’s catch up again soon. Thanks for the attention here on the site, its a great pleasure to entertain and inspire you whenever possible.
Shameless Plug: The SyFy Network is once again running their lengthy marathon of “The Twilight Zone” episodes and that will begin at 3:00AM on 12/31. I shared the rundown of those episodes on the PiercingMetal website so check out the listings by clicking HERE. I figured I’d tell you that now in case you felt like programming the episodes since there are so many.
