Hey there my fellow photographically inclined maniacs. It was once again time for the PDN Photoplus Expo to take over the Javits Center and since this traditionally seems to follow the absolute chaos of the NY Comic Con that I cover on PiercingMetal (link HERE FYI); I like to attend and wander the exposition floor to relax a little and see what is coming out.
Canon had a nice learning stage with lectures and demonstrations. From a bit of a distance I tried to snap shots of the model that they were using today.
Here’s the folks at MOO.com and they make business cards. I took their sample packet and it was very nice but I still have about 1000 cards left from my Vista Print order so I will have to investigate their offers some time in the future.
Sliding into the Nikon pavilion they had some models posing for photographers. I got a kick out of the Mad Scientist. Welcome to Dexter’s Laboratory right readers?
They also had a model doing some tap dancing. She had style, class, pinache and all that jazz. See what I did there? 🙂
This model was doing some kind of light effect demonstration.
The Wacom booth. That is an amazing device and looks like it makes creative things a lot easier.
Here’s the face of Rogue Photographic Design, and they were showing all the different feels you get with different light textures.
Here’s one of our favorites of the Expo, the Think Tank Photo booth. They have a lot of nice bags and I have been using them for years. I recommend them for most needs.
Here’s our friend Hiram who works at Phototech Camera Repair. They have helped me with the equipment used on both PiercingMetal and right here with PiercingKen a couple of times already and I will use them whenever its necessary.
I’m sorry but I don’t remember what this young lady was modelling for but when she said “take my picture” who was I to not comply with her. She looked lovely that is for sure.
