With so many movies getting prequels these days I guess I should not be surprised about the upcoming series on the Parmount+ streaming service that brings us way back in time to the “Rise Of The Pink Ladies” from the hit musical, and film “Grease”. The first Official Teaser Trailer is embedded below along with the premise and casting.
The Premise: The series takes place in 1954, four years before the events of Grease, and follows four fed-up and misfit students who band together to bring out the moral panic that will change Rydell High forever and become the founding mothers of the first female high school clique, known as the “Pink Ladies”.

Piercing Ken Thoughts: This looks cute but truth be told, despite my not being a subscriber to the Paramount+ service at this time, I never quite wondered how the Pink Ladies came to be. As a longtime fan of the classic film, AND as someone who saw the original Broadway show way back in the seventies I was more of a fan of the T-Birds. I’ll wrap up by saying that if I end up renewing my subscription to catch the “Star Trek” stuff that I’ve missed, I will try to find time to check it out and with that being said what do you readers think?
