It’s been a long, long time since the film “Top Gun” was released and now some 34 years later we are getting a sequel. Take a look down below as the first trailer from this 2020 arriving Paramount Pictures feature was just recently revealed.

The Premise: Top Gun: Maverick takes place 34 years after the events of the original film and pits legendary Captain Pete “Maverick” Mitchell as the new flight instructor of Top Gun, in which he guides Bradley, Goose’s son, who seeks to become a pilot much as his father was.

Piercing Ken Thoughts: I’ll admit that I can’t remember when the last time I watched “Top Gun” was but I did remember enjoying it back in the day. The first trailer looks compelling to me so it will be interesting to see the kind of story they work up around it. As far as those wondering would I see this in the theaters when it comes out, well, 2020 is a bit of a ways away still so who knows the answer to that one. Let’s see what happens closer to the release date. I like Cruise of course and wish he could have made something stick with the Dark Universe but oh well. What about you readers?
