The Premise: Top Gun: Maverick takes place 34 years after the events of the original film and pits legendary Captain Pete “Maverick” Mitchell as the new flight instructor of Top Gun, in which he guides Bradley, Goose’s son, who seeks to become a pilot much as his father was.

Piercing Ken Thoughts: This looks pretty good but I don’t really remember a whole lot about the first film since I now have more than 20 Marvel Comics movies floating around inside my head on top of all the similar TV shows but I think that this will do pretty well as a summer film. I don’t think I’ve seen the original since it came out but I know a lot of you are going to be very interested in this one. What did you think about this trailer? Will you be planning on seeing it or is it too early for you to decide as well? Right now most of my cinema energy is being devoted to the end of the Skywalker Saga with “Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker” which opens everywhere this coming Friday.
