Happy New Year 2015 Everyone :)

Happy New Year 2015 my dear readers, welcome to a brand new year and I hope that it will be an awesome one for you. Have you made any resolutions? If so is it possible for you to keep them? I’ll remain hopeful that you can especially if its something simple. I actually didn’t do any this year but my plan is to keep at being as excellent as possible to those who matter the most to me and make my world all the more awesome.

2014 was an interesting year for me with some highs as well as lows and this is to be expected in life. If you had too many lows in your 2014 I’m going to cross my fingers that 2015 treats you a little better. We got your back over here at the Piercing Ken Creative Enclave that’s for sure 🙂

The Christmas Lights Shine Brightly In Dyker Heights 2014

“You are traveling through another neighborhood dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of illuminating lights and holiday energy. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of the imagination, the proper placement of a lightbulb and available Con Edison power connections . Your next stop, the Christmas Twilight Zone of Dyker Heights!” – Gosh I sure hope that the ghost of Rod Serling isn’t mad at my being slightly creative with his introduction to the famous television show. The last person I need haunting me at night is him. That said, here is an extra holiday treat for you readers in a display of some of the wonderful decorations that the homes up in Dyker Heights have set up. I wanted to let them shine (pardon the pun) in a posting of their own. You might also enjoy the relative silence from me for this one as I let the photos do the talking for me. Enjoy and once again “Merry Christmas” to those celebrating and “Happy Holidays” to the rest.

Merry Christmas 2014 From NYC

Hello my dear readers and a very Merry Christmas to you all if you are indeed celebrating it like we do here in the creative confines of the PiercingKen Sanctum Sanctorum. I’m a little behind in getting this posting online today and that was based on my needing to pull a lot of the photos off of the new phone as opposed to how I usually did this with my little point and shoot camera. That said, here are a whole bunch of Christmas themed visuals and be sure to stick around until the very end because that is the place to see all of the giant Christmas trees that we snapped as well. I’ll keep the banter light and let these photos do the talking. Enjoy.

Happy Thanksgiving 2014 Readers

It’s Thanksgiving Day 2014 and I wanted to take a quick moment of your time to wish you a very, very Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families and pretty much anyone who brightens the time that you spend in a day.

I have to say that I am very thankful for my amazing Mom and Dad who have successfully taught me the value of family and being sure that time is best spent with them while its possible to do so. Sadly I will not be seeing the folks this holiday and will be enjoying some eats with cousins but despite that I have to think that Mom is enjoying the time off from this detail now that they are living down South enjoyment retirement 🙂

Happy 50th To The Verrazano-Narrows Bridge (1964-2014)

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge that spans from Bay Ridge, Brooklyn over to Staten Island across the Narrows tidal strait. As an almost lifelong resident of Bay Ridge and being in a close enough proximity to where the bridge actually is, I regularly find myself down on the Shore Promenade walking around with my camera snagging visuals for all of my readers to enjoy. What I did with this particular post for the anniversary was to cull together a whole lot of shots from different points in time and from different angles for your maximum pleasure. I’ll make note when I can but for the most part its more fun to let your imagination run with you.
