As a long time fan of the “Toy Story” original film and its sequels and yes the subsequent toy lines I have to say that I am very excited about the opening of the brand-new Disney/Pixar film “Lightyear” which takes us back in time to the origins of the man who eventually inspired a toy. The film opens today and we’ve already shared the Teaser Trailer and the Official Trailer in other narratives which you can peruse by clicking the hyperlinked text. To round this out properly I’ve got some new art, the basic premise and of course the voice casting. To infinity and beyond!!!! Let’s go.

The Premise: The sci-fi action-adventure presents the definitive origin story of Buzz Lightyear—the hero who inspired the toy—introducing the legendary Space Ranger who would win generations of fans.

Piercing Ken Thoughts: Like most of you who are reading what we are all about over on “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” this particular film is right up my alley because the characters are so much fun. Though I will be unable to catch this in the earliest days of the theatrical release I can safely say that I will be looking into a matinee for this one in the coming weeks.
