Eddie Murphy is well-known and quite famous for a wide variety of roles, but when it comes to movies, its definitely the “Beverly Hills Cop” franchise of films that put him over the top. Next year Murphy returns to the role of Axel Foley with “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F”, a film that comes some thirty years after its previous installment. The first clip comes care of this teaser trailer embedded down below. I’ve also added a brief premise, casting and some artwork for the film.
The Premise: Axel Foley has returned to Beverly Hills after his daughter Jane’s life is threatened. She and Axel team up with her ex-boyfriend and his old pals, John Taggart and Billy Rosewood, to uncover a conspiracy.

Piercing Ken Thoughts: Before I get started on my editorial mutterings, some of you might be wondering why I posted this one to Piercing Ken as opposed to PiercingMetal and the answer is very simple. Based on the overall amount of Science Fiction and comic book themed shows and films I have far too many posts to contend with in that Pop Culture area so over to “The Chronicles” this one went. I hope that clarifies anyone who is curious. This does look like it will be a fun return to a series that I really enjoyed but I am not too sure that I will be watching this as soon as it comes available on the Netflix streaming service. My reason for this stance is based on my not remembering if I ever saw the third film and being rather foggy about the first two just the same. When they do this kind of return, its sometimes best to watch the earlier films if you can work out the time. With this being released in a few months folks like myself have plenty of time to play catch up and that is all I have to say about this one. What about you readers?
