As documented here on the website and the Official Instagram, I was recently a member of the media in attendance at the Toy Insider’s annual “Holiday Of Play” event. At the close of the fun-filled affair, everyone got a hefty goodie bag and with unboxings or unveilings of “what’s in the box” sort of clips and narratives being hot – I decided to show you all what we went home with right here on The Chronicles. This year, the tote bag was in white and had the corporate branding and slogan across it. In addition to being available to attendees they were also used to dole out the takeaways. Let’s open this baby up.
The Magnaflex product is the first ever magnetic building strips. It seems like a fun concept for younger kids and comes care of the folks at Wowee.
Vtech really makes some quality stuff and I know this because my cousins all speak very highly of the things that they purchase for their kids. Last year I shared some of the “Sweet Suite” and “Holiday Of Play” loot with them to much delight. I see myself repeating the process with a lot of this years schwag. That’s never a bad thing at all and oh there is another visual of a different car used for this narrative. They are really awesome and make lots of cool noises.
These adorable miniature plushies are called “Squishmallows” and they are super duper soft so if you are buying this kind of cuddly critter you really want to investigate them down care of their link. I might have to keep the blue one though because CUTE.
There is probably no bigger property for a certain age group than Shopkins. ALL of my friends kids love these little miniatures and this set should greatly enhance anyone who enjoys them collection. This is the “Petite Sweets” collection and there is a good number to the set. Never a bad thing.
While we are on the topic of “HOT” properties, there is “Hatchimals”. This was a very interesting item to observe at the first “Holiday Of Play” I attended back in 2016 and I knew so many parents scrambling for the item at the stores both online and in the brick and mortar stores. This little jasper is a miniature version of the creature but since I want to give this away I didn’t open it to see what is inside. Sorry. It does appear to be a “blind bag” which is a very popular thing to do these days.
I’m on the fence about giving this package of scented Crayola crayons away since I think that they are awesome. Perhaps I should get myself one of those “Adult Coloring Books” that feature the comic book series things. There is one for “Deadpool”, “Harley Quinn” and the like, and some friends have spoken about their being quite fun to relax with.
The same applies with this little Hexbug Battlebot. I LOVE the Hexbug offerings and look forward to seeing them each and every year at the American International Toy Fair. As I’ve already noted, it was awesome to see them at the “Holiday Of Play”. This is really fun stuff and a high recommendation if we haven’t convinced you about them in the past.
The nicest inclusion in the goodie bag had to be this big box of K’Nex. Some of you might remember growing up with their Lincoln Logs but this is a different set of building pieces altogether. Having seen some expert make a miniature NYC skyline of them I’d have to say that the possibilities are endless.
The last item in the goodie bag was this beautiful Christmas Tree ornament that is branded with the company logo and tagline of #WeKnowPlay – Trust me my friends, they do. They really, really do.
Well. That brings us to the end of the fun with the Toy Insider folks and their wonderful “Holiday Of Play” event and the goodie bag that we were all sent home with.
