Last month I posted a narrative that shined the spotlight on the Hasbro Studio brand new Netflix Animated series “Stretch Armstrong and The Flex Fighters”. Its a fast paced and energetic program that you can stream right now on the service and if you’d like to learn more about the show just click on THIS LINK for our original post. Yesterday we received a bit of cool correspondence to the Creative Command HQ that unveiled the first bunch of action figures and now you can see them as well. Let’s take a look.
Let’s start off with Stretch Armstrong and The Flex Fighters…each comes equipped with weapons and are in cool costumes. These six action figures are a part of the “Flex Power Heroes” and I’ve shared the “Official Scoop” on them below.
Stretch Armstrong Flex Power Heroes: Each Flex Power Heroes figure has accessories and a signature action. The three core Flex Power Heroes (Stretch Armstrong, Omni-Mass, and Wingspan) have flexible bodies that allow them to “power” their Flex Power gear, enabling them to streeetch, release, and launch discs and missiles. Stretch Monster throws boulders, while Quick Charge and the ultra-mysterious and ninja-like Blind Strike each have flexible projectiles that launch from their unique accessories. It’s flextastic fun!
Now where you have good guys you will also have a strong contingent of villainy. Let’s bring on the bad guys now shall we (pardon the old Marvel book reference if you even caught it).
Right now the only ones with vehicles seem to be the heroes so let’s take a look at those next and some official copy.
Stretch Armstrong Stretch Power Vehicle Assortment: Each Flex Power Vehicle comes with a unique vehicle powered by streeeetch action provided by the Flex Power hero. Just strap the character in, pull back to activate, and release the power of flexibility. Stretch Armstrong’s FLEXYCLE zooms across the floor, while Omni-Mass SMASHCYCLE can pound enemies into submission. It’s flextastic fun!
Stretch Armstrong Flex Power Mobile HQ: The Flex Power Mobile HQ comes with a Stretch Armstrong figure and a whole lot of flextastic action that can be activated in and around the vehicle. By putting the figure into position, kids can streeetch and release to activate the boulder-launcher on the top of the vehicle, the removable disc launcher in the cockpit, or practice their targeting ability on the flip-down doors.
Closing up here is a larger Stretch Armstrong figure
Piercing Ken Thoughts: When I was growing up I used to love the action figures that brought my comic book and superhero shows right into my playtime and heck, I still love seeing what the action figures are all about when I pay a visit to the local comic book store and of course to get the advance media scoop when I attend the American International Toy Fair. What I love about these Stretch Armstrong figures is that they will get the younger generation into the superhero stuff provided they are already not locked into the Batman and Spider-Man stuff anyway. They also are scaled in a such a way that if your child has any of the PJ Masks figures (which I cannot say enough good things about too) then the adventures are only as limited as the child’s imagination. Hasbro has certainly done a terrific job on these and I am sure that more figures and characters will follow in time. If you’d like to pick these up you’ll have to peruse the Walmart site since they are currently an exclusive item to that retail chain. Let me know what you think of them down in the comments section below.
