As previously noted, The Chronicles Of Piercing Ken lifestyle blog was once again attending the American International Toy Fair over at the Javits Center and now with the event over and done with the time has come to load up the outlet with all of the amazing sights and products that were offered up by some incredible companies. I’m continuing the posts with one of our personal favorites – Safari Ltd. Let’s go.
I’m a big fan of the stuff that comes out from Safari Ltd. and cannot emphasize their quality enough to our readers. They are both educational (since they look so much like their subject) and fun. What is better than that. With this post I’ll be focusing on the new offerings and some more familiar ones as we close out. Do you not just love this dragon? I know you do.
The mythical creatures look great and wow, is that a werewolf? It sure is.
Continuing on here is the Jackalope. What an interesting inclusion on their mythical creatures line.
I think I need to build a collection of their dragons because I just love them, but then I fear I would end up stockpiling hundreds of similar characters for these dragons to decimate. Oh come on you would do the same thing if you had a chance.
Here’s some new wildlife creations. What detail on the python. It’s enough to give you a spook if you see it on a desk.
The two fish from “Finding Nemo” (at least I think that is the kind of fish they were). Either way these two look terrific and let’s you keep an aquarium right on your desktop or shelf.
When I was little I think we had the choice of one of six or so dinosaur figurines. I know that I had a tricerotops, a brontosaurus and of course a T-Rex. Being a lover of dinos, these are winners in my book.
With this years TF, I learned that Safari periodically brings a creation back after not being available for some time. That is always good and especially when they are these fierce gators. As I see my photo I realize that the fish in this photo is the “Finding Nemo” fish and not the other one. I guess I am getting a little forgetful every now and again.
The “Toobs” are awesome. Each one is loaded with miniature figurines that are all related by a theme. There is a monuments one, a NYC one and so on. I think I need to snag me a few of these toobs.
You can also purchase a stockpile of a certain creature. So if you need a whole lot of little plastic scorpions, let Safari Ltd. be your guide to the solution.
An assortment batch of minis that are a focused theme. Can you believe that these are hand painted. I was never too good at that stuff when it came to miniatures.
That brings me to the end of this installment from the 2017 Toy Fair. As mentioned, I will be coming back in a couple of days for as long as it takes to share all of the coolness with you. Remember if you wish to see side images that were uploaded exclusively to our Official Instagram you can click HERE and if you want to see what was posted over on PiercingMetal.com you can click HERE. Until next time. Before I go I should also add a thanks to Safari for always having coffee and danish at their pavilion for visiting press and clients. Its a nice perk and keeps us going throughout the day with a little more ease.
