We are surely cooking with gas as the fantastic finds from the 2016 Toy Fair continue. I am so very glad to have started using this blog for additional visuals and now we’re going to peruse the Gund booth for a few moments.
Gund has been making high quality plush stuffed animals for decades now and you might recall their slogan of “Gotta Get A Gund”. I love passing by this company’s booth because one year they had Grumpy Cat in attendance and another year were showcasing the new Ugly Doll KISS plush dolls. While choosing to expand my visiting of this convention I still keep my geek side close to my heart so focused on anything featuring the properties that I like the most. That finds me beginning with their dolls dressed as popular DC Comics superheroes. This is Griffin and Malone dressed as Superman and Batman respectively.
They had a Flash and Robin (who I later learned was named Hardwin) and a Wonder Woman named Anya who is coming up in a couple of photos.
The younger set loves to clip things onto their backpacks and that made me feel that these were awesome. I guess these original four will be the beginning of a larger set going forward.
I didn’t recall the names of these two puppy characters and I apologize for that oversight. They are adorable just the same.
Captain Kirk to Mr. Spock, two to beam up!!!! Here we find a number of the Gund characters dressed as legendary figures from the “Star Trek” franchise and since that property is ALWAYS popular I can see these being hits.
Here we find the Teenage Mutant Ninja Teddy Bears 🙂 Yep, our favorite heroes in the half shell now have their own teddy bears. There was one for every Turtle character so I snapped an image of all of them. Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo. One has to wonder if we will ever see them doing a Splinter the Rat or maybe a cute Casey Jones and Shredder. You never know.
Pusheen was one of the big draws to the booth this year. A lot of my female friends are absolutely gaga over the character and I have to admit that I kind of like her too. You might see her on a lot of Facebook things and lucky for fans, Gund had a whole wide assortment of Pusheen things. The rep even gave Skeleton Pete and I one of the little surprise Pusheen plush boxes. I don’t know which one I have yet since I didn’t open it.
Should I pause while you get to the Amazon.com store and begin ordering all those Pusheen things? No? Okay let’s continue on into a few items for the nothing less than classic Sesame Street. I only snapped a couple of these but here is Super Grover who is followed by Elmo.
These hand puppets are adorable and a part of the Baby Gund collection. If you have a little one to entertain you know these will go over well.
This giant Pusheen greeted everyone into the booth. It was a pleasant sight to see from a wonderful company.
So there you have it. I hope you enjoyed these visuals because I sure liked bringing them to your attention. I didn’t get a chance to photograph any of their dinosaur collection or the pigs Prissy and Pop but now that I know for certain about using this site for broader event coverage you will get a lot more next year should I be in attendance. Stay tuned for more and thanks as always for reading.
