Back in August, “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” was once again in attendance for the Curve New York expo. For those in the unaware, the Curve Expo is a trade show that focuses on intimates like lingerie but also showcases swimwear and assorted accessories. The show runs in tandem with the NY NOW show and while that trade show takes place on the main expo floor of the Javits Center, the Curve Show is up in the River Pavilion. Since the general public is not permitted at such an event, I like to bring our audience into the mix as best as possible and in addition to some social media posts and website feeds, I did some exhibitor interviews as well. While the videos are all resident on the Official Piercing Ken YouTube Channel, I’ve also collected them in posts like this to add to the website content. The journey continues with the “okko” brand and our one on one chat with the company founder Phoebe Kunitomi.

It was really cool to talk to Phoebe as I had never met her before so I hope for the biggest of success for the brand. Sadly that would end the exhibitor chats as many were not interested in talking and were primarily focused on the sales aspect. I can’t blame them during these trying times for all businesses. This leads me to including a very special feature and one that’s a little bit spicy for those who enjoy such things. A few years ago we met the extraordinary Pearls Daily who is a burlesque performer along with being a model and actress and writer. She’s the full deal and she was modeling and dancing in a number of brands at the Curve New York Summer Showcase. Please enjoy a few minutes from her performance. She was doing this all day so we only shared a brief video.

That’s going to bring me to the end of the features from the Curve New York Summer Showcase. I forgot to mention up above in the introduction for this post that they do two shows a year. One is in February and also runs tandem with the Winter NY NOW show despite their being totally disconnected. For the last couple of years, the shows have worked to allow attendees to explore the other show if they are interested. I hope you enjoyed what you’ve seen and that you look up the exhibitors and the talent that was shared here. Now onto the next batch of everything else to do. Remember that you’ll really be helping the brand if you give a subscribe to the YouTube Channel. That network is one of the hardest to build nowadays but we do try. Apologies for sharing so long after but the Channel has had so many videos to feed out to the masses. My hope is to return to their Winter Showcase in early 2025 but right now that’s too early to determine.
