movie logos, the godfather, paramount pictures

It’s without question that “The Godfather” is a spectacular and gripping dramatic film and believe it or not the release will celebrate its 50th Anniversary in the coming months. To help laud a limited theatrical run, Paramount Pictures has delivered a 50th Anniversary Trailer. Take a look down below at this clip and the legendary casting of this Academy Award winning film.

About The Trailer: In Select Theatres February 25 and on 4K Ultra HD and Digital March 22. No movie changed Hollywood more than THE GODFATHER. From the bestselling novel by Mario Puzo to box-office blockbuster, its influential legacy endures to this day. Starring Marlon Brando in his Oscar®-winning performance as the patriarch of the Corleone family, this first installment in the three-movie saga paints a dramatic portrait of the Sicilian clan’s rise and near fall from power in America. Balanced between the Corleone’s commitment to family and the ugly crime business in which they are engaged, it features career-making performances by Al Pacino, James Caan, Talia Shire, Diane Keaton and Robert Duvall. This searing and brilliant masterpiece garnered ten Academy Award® nominations, and won three, including Best Picture.

20th Century Studios: “The Bob’s Burgers Movie” Official Trailer

Truth be told I never expected a movie centered around the now long-running “Bob’s Burgers” animated series but here we are with 20th Century Studios released the first official trailer for “The Bob’s Burgers Movie” just a short bit ago. Now while I love a lot of the animated series that air on traditional television as well as the streaming networks, I never quite “got” “Bob’s Burgers”. Sure some of my friends absolutely love it but I will stick with “The Simpsons”, “Family Guy” and occasionally “American Dad” which used to be on the same network actually. The trailer is down below for you to enjoy along with a light premise, the talented voice cast and some early artwork promoting the film. Check it out.

The Premise: The Belchers try to save the restaurant from closing as a sinkhole forms in front of it, while the kids try to solve a mystery that could save their family’s restaurant.

Rundown Of “The Honeymooners” Marathon On PIX11 12/31/2021-1/1/2022

For the last couple of years I’ve sat down and cobbled together a complete rundown of the annual marathon of episodes of “The Honeymooners” that is presented to us over on PIX11. In 2020 it was super important to keep people indoors for safety’s sake and now with the terrible surge in cases of this Omicron variant I think that this might be the best course of action for 2021’s New Year’s Eve as well. At the risk of repeating myself I will say that this classic comedy is the perfect way to both close out and open up a hopefully promising New Year of 2022. The continuation of the pandemic has divided a lot of us based on who has received the full vaccine dosage and those who refute its effectiveness and to be honest the fights about this are far too nasty to line out in this humble narrative. The editorial High Command of “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” have taken all three of the shots and we did Pfizer and are happy to have done so. End of soapboxing. If you have the space on your DVR you should start programming them now so you are able to switch channels to the favored network to watch the ball drop before you return to the fun of “The Honeymooners”. I programmed this last year for myself even though I own the DVD of the classic episodes. As in the past marathons, some of the funniest and best of the episodes will be aired so head over to WPIX 11 and spend some time in Brooklyn with Ralph Kramden, Ed Norton, Alice Kramden and Trixie Norton and just relax. The shows begin at 11PM and run continuously into the next day with a brief pause for other programming at 8AM until it picks up again at 11AM. Let’s take a look.

December 31st:
11:00PM – Better Living Through TV
11:30PM – Pal O’ Mine

Netflix Presents “Cobra Kai” Season 4 Official Trailer

The continuation of a series years after what we last remember the characters being a part of isn’t all that new an idea anymore and if its done properly it can be quite enjoyable. For instance, the “Star Trek” franchise fanatics saw this with “Picard” and that’s actually getting a second season in the coming months as well but back to the subject at hand which is the hit streaming show “Cobra Kai” which brings us back to the world of “The Karate Kid” movies. The series was originally a part of the programming of the YouTube Red streaming service who ran the first two seasons before dropping it. Netflix picked it up and continued the story with Season 3 and here we are with the trailer for its fourth season. I loved these movies but didn’t manage to see the first two seasons yet. This isn’t going to stop me from sharing the new trailer for the show along with some premise and the casting that I listed in a different post about the show. Enjoy.

The Premise: Decades after their 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament bout, a middle-aged Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence find themselves martial-arts rivals again. (c/o IMDB)
