Wishing A “Merry Christmas” 2017 To All :)

Hello there my friends in the online land and of course the real world ones that are checking into the doings here on “The Chronicles”. I’d like to take a moment and wish you all a very “Merry Christmas” if this is your holiday.  It’s one of my very favorite times of the year and as you can see Miss Spooke also feels the same way and is acting as Santa’s Little Helper once again.  Generally speaking she is NOT a big fan of hats since she must hear everything that goes on around her.  She is a cat after all.

The hat also came with this cute little Santa suit but it was a little too tricky to get her into so she opted for using it as a bit of a blanket while she waited for her nightly treats.  We took this shot about a week or so ago.  I am appreciative of her patience since its not always easy to indulge us weird humans when you are a pet.  Well, at least I think that this is what they are thinking when they look at us and our dealings with silly but super cute costumes.  I’m sorry I lost track of myself for a moment so where were we….oh yes, MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE.

We really hope that you are having or planning to have an excellent holiday today.  A lot of friends started their fun last night with Christmas Eve and to many they go all out for that one too.  Last night I kept it local and simple with some Chinese take out from one of my favorite places and with the Tuesday matinee performance by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra on my plate I’ll likely be making a few small things and having an easy day with a quick visit here and there for good measure.  I’m at Christmas Mass at the moment and this was queued to go online nice and early to start the day off properly with our wish.  Be sure to call the relatives that you can easily reach and use those unlimited texts to let friends know that they are on your mind.  Be good to your beloved pets of course and just try to be an even better person than you were yesterday.  Everyone can use a little personal improvement IMHO.  Enjoy the holiday.

The Saks Fifth Avenue Holiday Facade (2017)

It’s that time of the year again and it means presenting some of the awesome Christmas In NYC sights that I find while on my normal adventuring. Once again I was starting my night out with dear friends in honor of the holiday season and as I did last year I began my quest for some of the trees that were set up in the general vicinity. You’ll see those soon enough but now its time to enjoy the Saks Fifth Avenue facade presentation. For those just joining the website and in the unaware, this is an annual light show that is shot onto the Fifth Avenue facade of the famous department store. I had gotten here just in time and used my point and shoot Samsung to secure the visual. It’s only a few minutes long so please sit back and relax while the clip and music plays through.

As usual I hope that you have enjoyed this seasonal capture. With this years clip, I felt I was just a little too close to the street and that made my visual a little too tight for my liking. Last year I had wanted to be in or around this spot but still think that my little Samsung was too close. Please stay tuned for some additional Holiday fun for the season as my Christmas In NYC posts continue.

Happy Thanksgiving 2017 Dear Readers

It’s Thanksgiving Day my dear friends and we are here to wish you a very happy one. It’s our hope that you are doing something enjoyable today and have a place to go and good people to be with. I’m heading over to some family today myself but wanted to share a seasonal image with you and since this turkey was sitting proud over the streets at Macy’s I couldn’t resist.

Though her Indian Princess headgear is a little too big to sit on her comfortably, Spooke is ready to celebrate Thanksgiving in the most feline way possible. I’m fortunate that she is so patient with this sort of silliness.

Since Spooke seems to like this particular one, I am able to keep her dining to the day as well. Sure I can give her some real turkey later on but she is not one for table scraps which amazes some people to hear. Her mother Shadow used to love them but Spooke didn’t grow up knowing what human food actually was and now doesn’t have much interest as a result. More for me I always say 🙂

That’s all I’ve got for now as its soon going to be time for me to head over to family for some quality time and the eats. Stay thankful for all of the good in your world my friends, I personally feel very fortunate for good family, some good friends and good times. Let those who count in your personal world know that’s the case. Until next time and as usual I will def post some of the fooding from later on once I am back home at the Creative Command HQ. Have a Happy Thanksgiving once again.

Happy Halloween 2017 Readers!

Hey there readers, I just wanted to wish you a very Happy Halloween. It’s one of my favorite times of the year and I just love all the garish and creepy decorations and costumes that one can find around their neighborhood. As I try to do each year, I’ve cobbled together some visuals that I’ve seen around during my travels. I didn’t go to any extensive hunting this year but did manage to find some cool things.

I like starting with my black cat Spooke and in this photo she is sporting a cute Court Jester collar that I got during the recent TTPM Event that I attended. It has bells on it and I think she looks great in it. I’m glad she lets me indulge in this silliness around the special holidays.

Now its onto a bit of spookified images. I didn’t really go all out in my own place this year but think that perhaps I will do something more next year.

“Happy Independence Day” 2017 America!!!

Hey there readers, it’s Independence Day once again and for those keeping count that means we have been doing this sort of holiday for 241 years since our Country was founded in 1776. That’s still pretty young when compared to some of the other nations of the world but that’s fine by me as I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. As I’ve done over the years, when a holiday rolls around I try to secure some topical images and share them with you all. Here are a couple of those images in celebration of our nations birth. My first image is actually of the small flag that hangs on the inside door of my apartment. Believe it or not I found this lying in the street some years ago after a parade and I couldn’t let that be the case so I picked it up, washed it off and gave it a good press. Now it hangs proud in the Creative Command HQ for The Chronicles.

These next two images are from my wanderings in my beautiful Bay Ridge neighborhood. This house often sets up a nice display but I’ve never seen the residents to thank them for always upping the decorating game for the area.
