Nabsico’s Oreo cookie is arguably the worlds most popular and most often copied treat and now in honor of the upcoming final season of the HBO Original Series “Game Of Thrones”, there is a specialized version of the cookie that will be available starting tomorrow. Let’s take a moment to enjoy the fun trailer that was done to celebrate this tasty item.
Piercing Ken Thoughts: Readers of my PiercingMetal website know that the series returns on Sunday, April 14th and if you have not yet seen the trailer that we posted please click HERE to be on point. Here at the Media Command HQ of “The Chronicles”, we just love everything about the Oreo Cookie and sometimes around the holidays we love it a little too much and need to pace ourselves in the following weeks or risk going up another belt size. I love that they teamed up with the show creators to unveil this sure to be tasty treat and they will surely be flying off the shelves during the time that they are available so get to your market quick and ask the staff to secure a couple of packages for you. I’m hoping to secure one myself but only to sample a few of them before sharing along. Summer is around the corner I want to lose a few pounds. As I close up I am thinking that the branding for the upcoming season in terms of this product will not be #ForTheThrone but instead should be change to #ForTheCookie – What say you? Chime in down below in the comments.
Today is National Pizza Day my friends and I am here to help assist in regaling the glories of this delicious food item. I’m sure you’ll agree that it’s one of the best creations to come to be and without question it remains one of my very favorite things to eat. Living in Brooklyn is awesome based on just how many quality pizzerias there are to choose from which bring to mind our featured photo that I am sharing from our Official Instagram.
About The Photo: This photo was actually shot this past Wednesday when I had an event to attend at Saint Vitus Bar in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Every time that I am in Greenpoint, I try to make a stop at the nearby Triangolo Pizza shop as its only a few blocks away from the venue. It’s generally a good idea since these events often lead to consuming a few beers but on this particular night I was just hungry. I took my bite and realized that I needed a photo for Yelp and Swarm and of course Instagram so I snapped this one late but not too late as you can see. I actually wasn’t planning on eating pizza today at all since I’ve not only had a lot of it recently but I’ve also made a lot of it when I didn’t feel like going out. I also had leftover Chinese Food that I needed to use before it went bad as I hate wasting food.
Will you be enjoying a slice or two at your friendly neighborhood pizza shop? As a New Yorker, I’d be interested in knowing where you go and what you think of them since I can use the information as recon. Of course you out of town readers can give a shout out to your favorite pizzeria in your locality as well. I have to think that they’d like the free promotion. See you next time.
We are smack dab in the middle of the Easter weekend and with this being a holiday that I celebrate as a card-carrying Catholic, I do my best to fast on Good Friday and have one meal only. It’s also stressed that no meat be involved so keeping it to fish is what I always try to do on this particular day. After my morning coffee, I did my best to distract myself from any noshing or bites of this and that by working on photos and such. When it came to finally getting something to eat, I had decided upon the nearby Pho Hoai Vietnamese restaurant in my Bay Ridge neighborhood and since I LOVE showcasing food here on The Chronicles, wanted to share my selections with you all.
Let’s start off with the appetizers of crispy calamari. They make a nice batch of the stuff but its not like the crispy squid in garlic sauce that I love to death from Nha Trang in Manhattan. They do serve it with a tasty gelatinous sort of dip but its not the same IMHO.

Yesterday, we received this interesting bit of press news to our PiercingMetal e-mail account but since it was about a new craft-beer creation I felt that it would be better served up right here on The Chronicles as one of our “Food and Drink” narratives. Check it out.
