On Saturday, July 22, 2023, join WICKED and BroadwayCon for a night of dancing along to Broadway showtunes, surprise appearances and live performances, the chance to win prizes, and the most thrillifying photo ops around! The Ozdust Ballroom special event, celebrating WICKED’s 20th Anniversary on Broadway, will be held at BroadwayCon 2023 at the New York Marriott Marquis. Tickets for The Ozdust Ballroom special event are $120. BroadwayCon Platinum Pass holders will receive complimentary admission to the event. All other BroadwayCon attendees will receive a special discounted admission rate. The Ozdust Ballroom is open to the public and attendees are not required to be BroadwayCon ticket holders.

Piercing Ken Thoughts: Having attended the BroadwayCon a few times I can only say that this is going to be interesting. I’ve also been able to see “Wicked” on Broadway (but only once unlike those who go again and again it seems). I loved the show and wonder when the live-action film is coming for that one. I’m hoping to attend this years BroadwayCon because I got so many interviews done at the last one and I am interested in repeating that process. There are so many fascinating and talented people at this convention. If I do attend I will also be investigating what the media opportunities are for this Ozdust Ballroom since there are likely going to be a lot of attendees in themed cosplay which is something that I always love to photograph. At the time of this writing I don’t know if I am attending since I still need to apply for the traditional credentials but if I am there I look forward to supporting once again.
