As was previously reported here on “The Chronicles”, the 2020 Edition of BookExpo, The Book Con and Unbound were cancelled as physical events due to the ban on large public assembly that was put into place to help stop the spread of the still in progress Coronavirus. More about that can be found HERE for those who like to be fully informed. With the event going virtual for the year, we’ve just received the schedule for the three days and the links on how you might participate. Take a look.
BookExpo Online will be followed by BookConline, a two-day event on May 30-31 full of incredible panels with fan-favorite authors including Judy Blume, Cassandra Clare, Zoraida Cordova, Jenny Han, Jodi Picoult, Nic Stone and many more.
Piercing Ken Thoughts: The newer readers might not know that I’ve been covering the BookExpo for a number of years and its an event that I look forward to very much. I’ve taken to posting the larger event coverage here on “The Chronicles” but whenever I showcase the superhero, science fiction or monster stuff it goes over to PiercingMetal.com – One of my favorite sections at BookExpo has been a group of comic book publishers and I always come home from visiting them with a stack of loot. It’s so much fun to share the visuals from that and I’ll close up with a fun “unboxing” video that I did last year with the Image Comics goodie bag. I’m sure going to miss getting the chance to do another one and share some of the contents with our readership but it just cannot happen under these circumstances. Let’s remain hopeful and by all means healthy. See you next time.
