I'm a Freelance Music Photojournalist from NYC and Founder of the Heavy Metal website PiercingMetal.com; I created this blog site to showcase the other things in life that keep my interest or catch my attention. Believe me that is a lot of stuff to talk about when it comes down to it. I hope you enjoy what we are delivering because there is so much to share as a resident of this bustling metropolis.

Good afternoon readers and those who just are chancing by and enjoying the offerings of this little website of mine. I wanted to take a moment of your time to let you know that my music and photography site, PiercingMetal.com, has reached its eighth anniversary today. I’m very proud of that particular domain and if not for my doing that website I would have never decided to launch this Lifestyle Blog as well. It’s on that website that you will find reviews of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal music, video, books and concerts along with thousands of photographs. I even have a blog connected to it that I call “PiercingMetal Musings” and that is where I talk deeply about comic books, conventions and other things that interest me. Clicking the graphic below will bring you over to the sites main page so you can see what we have been up to. I hope you enjoy it.

PiercingMetal utilizes all of the main Social Networks of the day so please give a like or follow to the sites official accounts via the links below. I’ll see you soon back on this site with my next interesting adventure around the metropolis.

Happy Easter 2013 NYC!!!

Just a quick post to wish our readers a very “Happy Easter” today, and while we fully realize that some of you were also celebrating Passover this past week, I extend a “Happy Pesach” to you folks as well. We do Easter over here in case you wondered and with that being the case I snapped some images specific to the day.

The Exploding Omelet: A Variant Kind

Many of my friends know of my absolute appreciation for the comic book medium, and so many of those have variant to their covers when they get released so I felt that it would be a good time to do the same thing with a not too long ago posted recipe. I recently tossed together “the Exploding Omelet” as my title and here is the variant to that original theme. I also decided to share some of the preparation steps and visuals with you this time around. Let’s go. This recipe begins with two eggs, a couple of slices of hard salami and pepperoni, jalapeno peppers, a mushroom and a slice of American cheese.

Beware The Power Of The Food Side…..

I realize I am being silly with that one, but I had a super late night after a Rock and Roll show last Friday and as I was walking up Times Square to the train there it was in bright, tractor beam level brightness……The McDonald’s sign!!!!! For a hot second it found me frozen in my tracks.

Was I hungry? Or was I more tired than is good for me? Did I need any shots for my Foodspotting account? Since I was not too sure, I decided to pull myself away from its maw and myriad of guilty pleasures and head down into the mire of the NYC Transit system. If I was lucky I would be back home in about two hours. Yeah, it was that late and Bay Ridge is like the moon at that hour. Sigh.

Bay Ridge St. Patrick’s Day Parade (3/24/2013)

Hello my friends and welcome to Bay Ridge where earlier in the day we had our annual St. Patrick’s Day parade. This is the first parade of the year in our neighborhood and since it passes right by my block I always try to snag a bunch of images for you readers to enjoy. One of the main reasons that I do this is for those long ago residents who might have moved away from this neck of the woods so they get a little slice of the old neighborhood. Earlier this year my own family packed up and headed to South Carolina. Oh don’t worry, I’m still here in NYC and ready to entertain you again and again so let’s get started on these parade visuals. I’ll be letting the images do the talking and say very little until we’re done.
