Welcome to “The Chronicles Of Piercing Ken”; A Lifestyle Blog with a New York Flair. This creative avenue of approach comes from the mind of Content Creator Ken Pierce, Founder and Principle Creative of the popular PiercingMetal.com website.
Origins: Since 2005, I’ve offered up my writing and photography skills for the sake of the Rock, Heavy Metal and Pop Culture entertainment scene over on PiercingMetal.com and during this time I have also photographed and jotted down notes about the other things that I had chanced upon while out on these adventures. While it might have been easier to post about them on the Social Networks, I felt that launching a new website would be a lot more fun to do and make a greater impact at the end of the day. The rather dramatic sounding name comes from my love of the comic book medium and hence is rather grandiose in scope and its also what one of my favorite press resources had been calling me for years. It’s on these blog posts that you will get to enjoy all of the adventures and images that I feel merit sharing with a larger audience than a simple Facebook Profile and the other assorted socials permit.
The Premise: At the time time of the 2010 launch the website wasn’t following any single premise and primarily was used to share items of interest outside of mediums like a personal Facebook profile. After attending the New York Comic Con and Toy Fairs for a few years, the creative team was meeting many reps whose companies didn’t apply to PiercingMetal coverage and in 2016 a clearer vision and focus had manifested. In a nutshell this website will be used to cover both public conventions and industry only trade shows to spread the word about what they are doing. I’ll be discussing tourism in my fair metropolis and beyond with photography taken on unrelated wanderings, doing food adventures and the occasional music observation in addition to toy and comic book focuses if they are things that don’t fit over on the PiercingMetal website. The plan is to not restrict it to any one particular discipline to allow for more creative flexibility. The goal of “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” is to amuse, educate and perhaps even inspire your own creativity. Whatever you like. The website also features an Events Calendar to spotlight numerous items of interest for the readers. Since launch, “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” has posted over 1.5K articles and hosts a media library containing more than 13K images. The outlet has accrued more than 6.6 million pages viewed since turning on the lights and has become a professional media voice at events such as the New York International Auto Show, NY Now, The New York Boat Show, The Architectural Digest Design Show, Affordable Art Fair, Artexpo New York and many more since 2016.
The Chronciles of Piercing Ken can be found on all of the major social media platforms and has been employing its own YouTube Channel since 2020.
