Piercing Ken Thoughts: So this news both surprises and saddens me because while we are still dealing with a pandemic, there are events coming back and doing so in a more limited capacity. Back in October I attended the New York Comic Con and after that the Anime NYC convention with a few trade shows tossed into the mix as well. They were open and had a number of safety protocols to follow and abide by and they worked out just fine. Indefinitely postponed doesn’t have a good ring to it IMHO but let’s hope for the best and that they decide to return before people forget that it was even supposed to happen. As a media gadfly who is fully vaccinated and even works part time in COVID safety I can say that things are moving in a better direction but still must be paid mind to for good measure. When you go outside keep a mask on hand for crowds and watch what you touch. Use hand sanitizer regularly and try to keep some level of social distance going on. We will get through this. Anyway, let me get off the soapbox and say that I hope this show can come back because as you might recall this new event was supplanting the Architectual Digest Design Show and that was really popular. I’ve asked their press team to keep me apprised of notices so I can share them with the masses. Be sure to keep tabs on our event listings as well because they list whatever changes that I learn about relatively quickly. Please stay safe out there.
