The Press Release:
Brooklyn Made Presents is pleased to announce the opening of a brand-new music venue in Bushwick this fall which will be called Brooklyn Made. The 500-capacity club is completely unlike any other music venue in the entire country.
Jeff Tweedy will open the club with a special two-night run of shows on September 30th and October 1st followed by Greg Dulli on October 2nd and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue on October 4th and 5th. The current full lineup being announced today is listed below. Tickets for all of these shows will go on sale at noon on June 11th.
“This venue is truly the headquarters for Brooklyn Made Presents,” commented Anthony Makes. “Myself and my partner Kelly Winrich wanted to create the most amazing club and I know we’ve accomplished this with Brooklyn Made. The bells and whistles with this place are so far ahead of anything we’ve ever seen and we know – every single artist and fan that comes here – is going to be blown away by the experience.”
Located at 428 Troutman Street in the heart of Bushwick, Brooklyn Made will be a state-of-the-art music venue with lighting design by Jeremy Roth (Wilco, Nathaniel Rateliff, Mazzy Star) and sound by D&B Audiotechnik, including the Soundscape 3D object-mixing and room emulation platform.
Connected to the music room is a bar called Connie’s which features a horseshoe-shaped bar along with a pool table. The bar is sure to be not only the pre but the post hang spot for fans coming to Brooklyn Made. Connie’s also has access to an outdoor courtyard along with a second level roof deck for taking your food and drinks outside. The bar will be open from until 4AM (even on non-show days).
Right next door to the venue will be a café called Standing Room which will open at 7AM as a coffee house/café with pastries and breakfast and then turn into a cocktail/wine/tapas bar with a full kitchen in the afternoon until late into the evening. Outdoor seating will be available here as well.
Brooklyn Made will also be a one-of-a-kind experience for visiting performers. Artists will have exclusive access to myriad amenities, including a second level carriage house, private outdoor swimming pool, and multiple roof decks offering unobstructed panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline. A lower level VIP area has a private bar and pool table.
And the experience of purchasing tickets to shows at Brooklyn Made could not be any easier, thanks to global music discovery & mobile ticketing platform DICE – the exclusive ticketing partner for the club. DICE has transformed how fans discover and buy tickets to live events and livestreams around the world, offering complete transparency throughout the process. The DICE app is incredibly user friendly, with the ability to purchase tickets in just 3 clicks. The waitlist technology allows fans who were unable to get tickets during the initial on sale with another shot at it. If a fan can’t attend a show after purchasing their ticket, they can request a full refund which allows the tickets to go on sale for the next person in the waitlist line. They will get a text about the tickets and have an hour to claim them through DICE’s Fan to Fan exchange.
About Brooklyn Made Presents:
Former Live Nation New York President Anthony Makes announced the opening of Brooklyn Made Presents in the summer of 2020. As a promoter with 30+ years of experience in the business, Makes is looking to redefine what it means to be a 21st century music company.
Shortly after announcing the formation of his new company, Makes teamed up with artist/songwriter Kelly Winrich from Delta Spirit. Winrich played a major role in acquiring the brand-new Brooklyn Made club. He has also now joined the company as a partner in Brooklyn Made Presents. “Having Kelly come on board as a partner was a no-brainer for me,” Makes commented. “He has spent most of his life as a recording and touring artist so his knowledge and the unique perspective he’ll bring to our company will be invaluable moving forward.”
“Having played venues and festivals of all sizes across the world, there are a handful that really stick out.” Winrich remarked. “Our aim is to make sure all artists that come through our rooms have an unforgettable experience. From hospitality, to sound, to lights – we want it all to be next level.”
As the company prepares to open in a post Covid-19 world, the venues the company is working with already is impressive. CMAC (https://www.cmacevents.com), The United Palace (https://www.unitedpalace.org), and now the brand-new Brooklyn Made club.

Piercing Ken Thoughts: As the readers of my coverage and listings over on PiercingMetal.com are fully aware, I just LOVE the live music scene and seeing shows, engaging with other fans and even doing the occasional giveaway or two. The pandemic putting a halt on all the tours for the year and finding some smaller places going away was heartbreaking but as the world moves towards some kind of normal its nice to find another venue launching and getting a run of shows on the calendar. I’ve posted this news on “The Chronicles” as opposed to PiercingMetal based on the first bunch of events not being in the realm of coverage I normally do and with the publishing schedule being so much on that site I felt let’s share the news here and just share it along. Truth be told I am not too familiar with Bushwick despite living in Bay Ridge for many a year but I hope to attend something in the future and add them to the listings on each of the websites. What do you readers think about this announcement? Feel free to chime in down below and I will see you next time around.

The venue sounds very cool! I can’t wait to check it out. I don’t even know any of the artists with shows coming up but I might just pop my head in for one of these just to check it out. You almost make it sound like a resort hahaha. Definitely excited and looking forward to this after so many music spaces that have closed down over the recent years. Can’t wait for the first metal show here!??
Well, my only personal notes are in the closing editorial thoughts. The rest was the press release that we were shared but like you said it will be nice to have another venue. Had their been a ton of Metal shows listed, I would have written this for PiercingMetal but alas….
