It’s without question that Netflix has been a boon to us all during the pandemic and they are serving up some quality stuff day by day, or month by month since that is when the release calendar makes announcements. There is stuff for the uber geek that I talk about on PiercingMetal and the more family friendly fare that I share here on “The Chronicles”. This latest one is a computer animated feature that brings us a story from China. Take a look at the first trailer for “Over The Moon”.
The Synopsis: A girl named Fei Fei builds and flies a rocket ship to meet the moon goddess, Chang’e.
The Voice Cast:
Cathy Ang as Fei Fei
Robert G Chiu as Chin
Phillipa Soo as Chang’e
Ken Jeong as Gobi
John Cho as Ba Ba
Ruthie Ann Miles as Mother
Margaret Cho as Auntie Ling
Sandra Oh as Mrs Zhong
Kimiko Glenn as Auntie Mei
Piercing Ken Thoughts: Having been a fan of the classic Disney animated features growing up, I’ve go to say that this one reminds me of them just a little bit. Now I don’t always get to watch the more family friendly films based on the itinerary but I just might be checking this one out since it seems to have such charm. This film will be streaming in the Fall, and might be just the kind of warmth we need after so many months in this virus uncertainty. What did you readers think about this clip? Topical additions from the folks at home are always most welcome down in the comments. See you again soon.
